This property collects water in its basement, owner disposes of water by running a hose tube, to the property line, which causes soil erosion, utility pole erosion, and water on public sidewalk.
Curb box at NW corner of Blair and 11th appears to have a slow leak. When I lift the cap, the pipe is filled with water and slowly spilling out onto the sidewalk.

AITA? For the 3rd time in 3 years: can I ask that we move the southbound bus stop sign on High at Breenbriar 30 ft to the north, out of the grass next to the drainage culvert, and to a location that allows passengers to exit the rear of the BT bus without the danger of falling into the unrepaired sinkholes next to the culvert? If the bus stops earlier (30 ft north), the passengers that exit the bus to the rear (as required) step off near the sidewalk and not in the middle of a grassy easement with a LARGE SINKHOLE next to the culvert. Why - oh why, is this so hard? When the bus stops at the correct location it doesn't even block Greenbriar traffic onto High. Sorry for the snark, but again Bloomington this is the third request in 3 years. Just move the sign north 30 ft.
I've lived in this neighborhood for over 20 years, and the city put a hazard sign on the sidewalk months/years ago, but nothing else has been done to correct the problem, which can be quite dangerous at night
there is a shopping cart filled with clothes in the middle of the sidewalk in front of dunn meadow. so do we actually have students still protesting out there or is it just homeless people to stay anywhere they want now?
Blocking sidewalk for wheelchair use
I live at 1009 S. Lincoln St., and running in a perpendicular line to the street from our water access, at the house edge of the sidewalk, there's a big hole. It seems to go below the sidewalk a little. I'm not sure if I should just fill it in, or if it is indicative of a larger problem that should be addressed. I'd love a little guidance from the experts! Just today, I noticed a 4, maybe 5 year old ridding his/her bike down 10th St., and the parents walking along seemed 'forced' to help child off bike, then "lift" bike onto sidewalk. As I use a walker, and to gain access to the BT 'stop'. I feel it best someone contact the BHA (Barrington Homeowners Association and enforce city laws of/for which they claimed to be "exempt" from, although I very much disagree. I consider this/them to be a well justified part of the City of Bloomington. IF asked/requested, I will take a picture of possible curb-cut or ramp sites.
This morning around 7:00 -7:30 while on my morning walk I had two mishaps with regard to the construction work around or near the 4th st. fire station. First, crossing Kirkwood st. A dump truck (Young construction) decided to cut me off at the pedestrian crossing at Kirkwood and Dunn st. Next, a large loader (Milestone Construction) decided to back up without looking. I was on the sidewalk all the time and was within inches of getting KIlled. I yelled very loud and the operator heard over the machine and stopped. I do not believe I should have such experiences with just a simple walk. I have noticed over many weeks that this project is a slip-shod operation with a lack of management. Perhaps IOSHA needs to be alerted. Ken Bartell
