How is this both safe, and not a hazard. The far back building behind office near spillway. Update 5/7/2025… The meters are unattached from the building as of right now. Duke is planning on coming out next week to reattach to the building. Maintenance personnel is going to contact me once it is reattached
A gentleman called in and was very angry that the debris and illicit items have not been picked up at Hillinghams on S. Walnut. This debris and illicit material stretches to the school corporation building that is located there. He has contacted the Deputy Mayor and still nothing has been done. His phone number is 812-679-0514. No name was left with Makayla in the Mayor's Office. Called back and gave the email - [email protected]
So I applied for a gun/concealed carry permit. I paid the fee, then got my fingerprints. They told me to go to a sheriff so I went to the sheriff's office at 301 N College Ave. They said I had to go to the office on 3rd street. I went there and the building was closed so I could not complete my application. What do I need to do from here?
Overflow of trash at 1890 South Walnut. Apartment complex south of Mike Watson State Farm Office Building. The location listed above is incorrect.
Why for having such a vibrant and significant LGBT community does the City have basically no local recognition and programming? The City does a great job at promoting the Latino, black, women, children, and many other communities and groups. But as far as I know we have no LGBT affairs commission, no awards recognition, etc. Maybe I'm wrong? But none of my friends know either. It's more than about not being discriminated against, it's about celebrating a unique and important part of local culture. Thank you. Hope to see this changed. I know the mayor is a personal ally but how about showing it in office. There are so many things that can be done to do better on this front.
A gentleman stopped by our office this morning to alert us to an unsafe swing set that was installed in the yard of 825 S. Eastside Dr. He said that the swing is installed in a way that it would go into the road if someone was on it. He is nervous that a kid is going to swing on it unsupervised and go into the road. He would like to remain anonymous.
Our office received a call from an individual who reported an issue with a fire hydrant at the address listed. He says he tripped over it and believes it is not up to city code.
