There is construction happening in the alleyway of 111 E 6th St, which is behind the Btown Smoke Time (corner of walnut and sixth). My apartment is in this alleyway, and there is no other access besides the alley door. The construction is currently blocking me from entering my apartment, and is blocking my roommate from leaving the apartment, because they have torn the alley out and blocked any alley entrance with heavy machinery. While I’m sure this was a necessary project, this is something that needs to be informed to residents if they are going to be blocking them inside/outside of their homes.
There are so many road closures in town and none of them seem to have proper signage. Just today, I encountered on Kirkwood and on Grimes. Neither closure had any signage before the barriers that indicated that the road would be closed. This was particularly frustrating at the Kirkwood closure because it forced me down a one-way street. If you are going to close roads, but ESPECIALLY when you are closing so many roads at once, please provide drivers with the proper signage!
Sidewalk at the ongoing construction at new Bloomington Fire Operations Center is blocked with no alternate accessible path for pedestrians. Wheelchair user had to use the vehicle driving lane on busy road in order to get around the blocked sidewalk, because the shoulder of the road was also obstructed by cones and tape.
There is a hole that goes below the street in the first white line of the crosswalk on 3rd by Lincoln Street on the side that is closest to the Boys and Girls Club.
Utility box was installed at the corner of High and Maxwell. The hole has been improperly filled and is forming craters around the new utility box. It's hazardous.
Immediately north of the SE corner, there are two holes in the street crosswalk, both of them presenting danger for pedestrians. One is a rupture in the road. The other is a small "manhole" (the type for utilities) that is missing its cover. Please fix!
More trash, furniture, and indication of people possibly living in storage containers on this property. It appears the issue is getting worse and is a cause for concern for the health and safety of people nearby.
Papa John's has placed their sign directly in the sidewalk, blocking access to the entire accessibility feature.
This tree(s) are blocking the street light and the 25mph speed limit sign right below it. I’d appreciate it if you guys could come out and trim it, please. Thank you in advance. :)
