Can the speed limit be reduced near the entrance of Switchyard Park on S. Rogers Street? This is an entrance to the city's largest park and there will be a pedestrian crossing built that will also cross S. Rogers Street, to the park entrance. Currently, the speed is 30 mph, which will be too fast for a pedestrian crossing and the current busy park entrance. Per City Ordinance 18-09, the speed is reduced on Winslow Rd around Allendale Dr. to accommodate for the pedestrian crossing that is near a city park. Other examples of reduced speed near park entrances includes (but not limited to): S. Highland Ave near Winslow Sports Complex and E. Morningside Dr. near Park Ridge East Park.

Was out at the Switchyard Skatepark until around 9pm. The lights for the rest of the park and the trails had been on for 20-30 minutes at least, skatepark lights never came on. They might've been turned off for the maintenance week a few weeks ago and forgotten to be turned back on perhaps?

This is the third time now that I have walked the B-line over the Patterson foot bridge to switch yard and all of the lights along the b-line between the two are out. This has always between the hours of sunset and 10 PM. I just worry it is hazardous because if someone was riding a bike, they could easily come up on someone they don’t see and hit them if either party doesn’t have a light. Of course, ideally people would have lights, but I’ve found they rarely do when walking the B-line especially in the early evening hours. I’m sorry I didn’t get numbers for the lights because there was about 30 in total. I was counting them but forgot about the numbers- the last one I saw that was out was BL 38 in switchyard, but literally every light from that to Patterson was out on both the north and south paths of the b-line. I hope it doesn’t seem like I am being a stickler reporting this multiple times. It’s just so dark in that stretch with no lights and the tree coverage, it feels rather dangerous in terms of potential accidental collisions. Thank you for looking into this matter! At 7:00pm tonight it was very dark along the B-Line trail with the lights out between the splash pad going north past the skatepark. BL 45, BL43, BL42, etc.

This is the second time in the past few weeks that I have walked the b-line over to switchyard and all of the lights are off when it’s after dark. Surely you are aware of this issue, but thought I would report it just in case… It’s a little bit dangerous in the section between Patterson and switchyard Because it’s so dark with all the trees. It would be easy to run into someone on the B-line.

The lights at Switchyard do not come on when they are supposed to. Specifically at the skatepark and path around it. They seemed to fix it when an event took place Nov 8, then just turned them off since. People not only at the skatepark but also people who walk the path, can’t see where they are going at night. It can be very dangerous especially considering that the homeless sit around all day and night over there. If someone could please fix this issue, then everyone who often goes to the park would appreciate it very much. Thanks

At least 2 of the garage doors at Switchyard Pavilion are not opening. This makes vendor unload/pack up before and after farmers’ market more challenging and complicated— for an already logistically difficult situation. Also, numerous customers report that there is not any parking available during market hours. Is anyone at COB considering parking issues when scheduling multiple events at Switchyard Park?? Is it possible that the Warehouse is using the Switchyard parking lot during market hours as well?? Thanks for reviewing these concerns.
