The drainage easement at the south end of Greenwood Dr., where it dead ends into the sidewalk, is blocked with a landslide of debris. The water level rose to 3 feet on either side of the sidewalk and covered three properties adjacent to the clogged drain with water and debris. Thank you for your help. Jim and Debbie Quinn
Level 1 stairway exit (alley way access) - Standpipe (Fire Dept.) leaking and water is accumulating on landing in front of exit door, may ice as temps fall.
Letter stated Mr. Schatz feels that a crack (leak) in his pvc pipe connector to meter was caused by damage during construction. Customer had break repaired but received extra large water bill. Wants matter investigated and adjustment made.
There is a hole at the curb at the end our adjoining driveways, 1202 and 1208 E 1st. This has developed after the attempted temporary fix which was made after attempting to find the source of a water leak. This was made during the installation of Gigabit now. It is 17 inches deep and when covered with leaves, not visible. Please fix this to prevent damage to our cars.
Citizen objects that Utilities will only repave area torn up for water main installation. Says the work has damaged the whole street and it needs repaving. Says the front of her property has been damaged by storage & removal of gravel, etc. Wants her lawn repaired. Has spoken with Doug Jones who said Mike Farmer would call her. ELEANOR BARKLEY CALLED ON 4/18/97. SHE WANTED TO COMPLAINED ABOUT CONSTRUCTION WORK DONE IN THE VICINTY OF HER APTS. AT 2ND & ADAMS. APPARENTLY, A WATER LINE WAS CUT BY THE CREW DOING THE WORK ON 4/15/97. THIS CAUSED MUD BUILDUP IN THE LINES IN HER APTS. MS. BARKLEY HAD TO PAY OUT A CONSIDERABLE AMOUNT OF MONEY TO CLEAN UP THE MESS AND MAKE THE APTS. LIVABLE FOR HER TENANTS. MS. BARKLEY FEELS THAT SHE SHOULD BE REIMBURSED FOR HER EXPENDITURES. SHE DOES NOT KNOW IF CREW WAS COB, CBU, OR PRIVATE.
Water shut off cover missing
Mr. Turpin called and reported that when the Utilities Dept. installed new line on Rockport Road they dug up entry to his driveway. At that time the driveway had a culvert. When redoing his driveway, no culvert was installed. Water backs up in his driveway now and he has a "muddy mess." He would like a culvert installed since he is afraid his car will be damaged.
MS. BRIDGES CALLED TO COMPLAIN THAT WHEN NEW WATER LINE WAS PUT IN TAPP RD. WAS TORN UP AND WAS ONLY PATCHED, NOT REPAVED. SHE CALLED UTILITIES AND WAS INFORMED THAT ROAD WOULD BE REPAVED BY CONTRACTOR IN DECEMBER. ROAD HAS NOT BEEN REPAVED AS OF TODAY.
