The public sidewalks in front of Parkview Apartments are still completely unshoveled. The northern end of their sidewalk on Walnut Street is much like an ice rink. There may have been a burst water pipe. It's treacherous for pedestrians, and they seem to have done nothing to resolve the hazard. Photo taken 2026 Feb 1 – 3:54 PM
111? E. Kirkwood: Some sort of restaurant runoff (floor cleaning water?) is dumped from behind Opi Taylor's/Malibu. This goes on year round, but creates a sheet of ice in the winter (as it is today). The water runs/ices in front of an empty lot, so no one deals with the sidewalk. It's approx. 111? E. Kirkwood, just past the alley behind Book Corner, just at the start of the parking lot next to CVS. I originally reported this in 2017, I guess before it was cold. ureport#161324 and I was told it was runoff from an AC unit, which I think we can be sure is not the case in today's weather. I'm a daily walker from the near westside to campus. This is an ongoing problem. I really would like someone to just take some responsibility for either the initial liquid or the ice that results. Water coming out of drain on Woodlawn 100' S of 3rd St.
Missy took complaint - There is a ravine at the property when it rains water backs up and the mailman can't get to the mailbox.
Complainant says that the house constructed at the above address (3914 Emilie Ct.) was constructed to low and that storm water flows into the patio. (See pictures in Eng. file). The area surrounding the house does not slope away from the foundation.
During the Adams St. project recently done, the drain pipe was cut off causing water to back up.
