Hello, My home sits at the bottom of an incline where the water in the neighborhood drains onto our driveway and property. Every time it rains the water causes erosion on the property and flooding to our garage and yard. Not only is the un-directed water effecting us, but is also causing the road to erode where water is standing on the asphalt. As well as eroding neighbors propertys and driveway, which then end up in front of our home puddled in the street,(water,gravel,soil). A solution could be installing curbs and catchment drains in the surrounding area to better direct the water from causing more damage to ours and neighboring properties. While constructing the Bike Path on the portion of E. Arden Drive to SE Park, crews did not remove the heavy mats blocking storm drains at the corners of S. Williams, Greenfield & Sycamore Courts. When heavy rains appear, water flows into E. Arden Drive, oftentimes ponding in low lying areas. People often drive too fast on that street, causing hazardous driving conditions should they loose control of their car.

I don’t know if this is the right place to report this, but this seems like it might be a problem. The owner has covered the entire yard and the tree plot with gravel. It looks like they’ve done some additional planting lately, but the gravel is eventually going to stop the water from getting to both their new plants and to the street trees. I don’t think this is OK/legal. It looks like a student rental.

Water ponding after rain. People walk on street or grass to avoid water ponding. One family had a stroller and had to go onto street to negotiate sidewalks filled with water.

The south end of the sidewalk in phase 2 near the gazebo is sinking. There is at least 20 inches of no dirt below the sidewalk, hence it is sinking. The sidewalk is next to the sewer drain where the earth has disappeared and with all of the water problems we have had recently with water mains, the city needs to come inspect. One city worked thought this drain runs right next to departed neighbor Cassie Howard's condo which then should worry us as the ground beneath her condo also disappeared causing her slab to sink and foundation to go bad. These two problems could be connected and the area below the sidewalk cannot simply be filled in with dirt. It has to be inspected including a city inspection. We need to see why it is all sinking.

The tree/roots between the sidewalk and road between 2704 and 2702 E Brigs Bnd has caused the sidewalk to tilt and hold water. This will pose an icy surface and is difficult with my walker. I also am concerned the water will cause damage to my driveway. Is this something you can look into. Thank you. V/R Kenneth Crevier

There is a pile of debris sitting along the edge of the road. This is on the east side of Manor Road, where Manor runs between Southdowns and Sheridan as it crosses over the creek. This looks like debris that came from the creek, maybe during a high water time. It just needs to be removed and cleaned up.

After the last heavy rain in Bloomington, I noticed a large tree next to Jackson Creek on The Goat Farm is going to fall. The roots are showing and the tree is leaning over the creek water. It looks very dangerous because sometimes the children come to play in the water and they may get hurt. If no action is taken, the tree will fall down into the water and block the creek water flowing and cause more damage later. Please see the picture attached above.
