Yesterday, during the huge mid-day rainstorm, water came up through the floor drain in our basement at 2638 East Dekist Street. It had a sewage odor and was muddy looking and reached a level of about 4 inches, covering the entire floor and soaking everything. The basement toilet also had dirty water come into it. I called the city utilities hotline and reported the incident twice, speaking to the same person each time. The water receded after a couple hours. We have yet to assess the damage and start to clean up. Last year on 2/11/18 our basement toilet erupted (see case #163027). We had a plumber verify that the city sewer was the source of the issue. We did not claim any damages, yet the city did not reimburse us the cost of the plumbing assessment. We would appreciate someone responding to this current incident.

While riding my bike on Weimer Rd.; I've noticed on two different occasions the strong smell of sewer gas. A Sewer gas smell to me means either there is effluent top side or there is an over flow into waterway. (Or I suppose something else) but there a definite issue. Exact location is post bridge on Weimer's south end heading toward Tapp Rd. It is also just past the mid point of bridge to Tapp Rd. points. Yes, I know there has been a lot of rain that contributes to these kind of issues, but being that the creek eventually "dumps" into Monroe Reservoir ( our drinking water) Thank you for looking into this. Hi, I'd like to report a sewer problem. There is a steady stream of water flowing out of a manhole. It leaks across the sidewalk and then onto Rogers where it flows into the storm sewer drain. It's on the northeast corner at the intersection of South Rogers and Coolidge. I just wanted to alert the utilities department about the issue. Thanks.

There apparently is a blockage in my sewer drainage pipe to the main sewer line on N Lexington Drive. Waste water is backed up from the sewer main to my house. I have an inspection port in my drain about 3 ft from the edge of the street and the waste water fills the drain pipe about 3 ft from the street, or about 10 feet from the city sewer line. Problem started ca.3:30 pm yesterday (Monday) afternoon.
