URGENT: Really bad taste of water over the past week. The water smells very bad. Please fix this issue ASAP. We’re not sure if it is safe to drink anymore.

I am writing you with concerns about work being done around the city by AT&T subcontractors to lay fiber optics cable around the city. Should you talk to individuals in several neighborhoods where they have worked there is dissatisfaction. The subcontractors have at times leaving large scars across the properties of homeowners for which they then failed to make adequate repairs. Part of our sprinkling system no longer works. One of our neighbors has a 30 to 40 foot long scar across the side of his yard and the subcontractors buried both the meter for his water as well as one drain pipe from his gutters (I am including photographs). In talking to the Hallmark Management Corporation, we are not the only homeowners association that has had these kinds of experiences. I have tried to reach out to AT&T and was given assurances that I would hear back from them in an effort to resolve the situation. I have never heard back. I know the representatives from Hallmark have also been trying to reach out to AT&T without success, Can the City help to reach out to AT&T and raise these issues. Water has smelled horrible and tasted awful since 9/10. Water sitting in our toilets smells. The taste is bad.

Our tap water (in kitchen and bathroom) has been tasting strange the last 2 days, kind of like dirt. This is not how it normally tastes.

The tap water tastes and smells bad. I have asked several people who agree as well as tasted water a 4 different locations in the city to confirm.

We have noticed that our water quality has been pretty awful the past couple of weeks. It tastes like algae/moldy and smells. We have never noticed our water quality this bad since we have lived in Bloomington the past 12 years and are concerned that there is something dangerously bad with our drinking water. Can this please be checked as we have residents who have health issues and don't need them to be aggravated due to bad water. Thank you.
