The storm drain at S Olive and E Hillside should be remedied. It is located at the bottom of a hill and gravel driveways uphill have gravel running down the street in heavy rains. There is so much gravel built up that weeds are growing around the stop sign and around the drain. Now, during a heavy rain, water cannot get to the drain and backs up into our driveway and gets close to the garage. This has consistently been an issue for years. Please remove the gravel and help us with a solution to keep this area clean.

We have city built ditches/basin along the streets for rainwater drainage in the area. I recently noticed there is a big hole in the middle of the ditch, lots of the water goes into that hole when it rains, looks like it keeps getting worse. Can you send someone to take a look, and get the hole patched please? I don't know if this is a city, IU, or even state issue, but the storm sewer just north of the entrance to the IU Outdoor Pool on Fee Lane is completely clogged. This creates a pool of standing water that covers the east sidewalk and part of the road. It's a possible breading ground for mosquitos. It also forces pedestrians to walk on the road since the west sidewalk is closed due to construction.

Can someone please check the storm sewers in the 800 block of S. Stull Ave.? We can see when we look through the grates that there is very deep water standing (not flowing) in the drains. There may be a clog somewhere? We are being over run by mosquito's and are concerned that mosquito's are breeding there. Thank You!

The city has come out and measured several times for a culvert to be installed in front of my driveway. The problem is that the street is higher than my driveway and this house is at the bottom of a hill. When it rains all the debris from the street and houses above me come into my driveway. There is so much water that my basement can flood and the water level can easily reach several feet deep. I have at the moment blocks of stones in front of my driveway so that the debris and water keeps going down Mitchel street instead of blocking the small drainage grates that are in driveway. The stormwater grates at West Fourth and Fairview literally had small bushes growing in the sediment. I cleaned them again today-but why oh why can't these be part of regular maintenance? When they are blocked, which is most of the time, the water gets 6-8 inches deep at the alley near my house. I brought this to council last year when the city voted to raise fees and was promised by the director (Vic?) that this would be remedied. I have yet to see a clean up schedule or to see a worker ever clean these grates or clean the streets. I'm sick of it. There seems to be no dearth of resources for curbs and flower boxes and traffic restriction work. Why can't the city maintain the streets and storm sewers in a systematic fashion? What is the schedule for cleaning?
