I teach classes at the John Waldron Arts Center for Ivy Tech. Each class is approximately 3 hours long since it is a studio art class. My student said there is a 2 hour limit on the parking meters on Walnut street which means she needs to leave during class time to move her car to another meter. This has never been an issue before. Why is it now?

I received a parking ticket when I visited the city stating I was parked in a "resident parking only" zone. I had to search the area to find the sign indicating this restriction, as it was totally obscured by tree branches/leaves, and I was not parked directly under the sign. Not sure how out of town visitors are supposed to follow the parking restrictions when they are not posted in observable manner. I believe this ticket should be forgiven, as no one who parked there would have seen the sign. I just drove through Renwick and I saw at least 7 cars parked along the streets where it is outlawed. This is an ongoing problem for drivers as the streets are too narrow to have parked cars present. I think ticketing the cars that are parked illegally would be the best way to prevent this ongoing behavior.

I'm sure this is not the right category but I couldn't find the appropraite one - I think I have a 'failure to appear' relating to expired registration from Sept. 2018, according to my insurance company, but I was wondering where I could see these records for myself? Thanks!

I parked at this meter today (4/12) just before noon. 3 quarters in and I only had been credited for 15 minutes. I had just enough change to pay for the hour and 10 minutes I needed for my appointment at Fountain Square, so I had to use a card to ensure I had adequate time and didn't get a ticket. Please check this meter for issues.

Really has nothing to do with parking meters. But for parking enforcement. I would like to suggest more of a patrol on W. 14th Street between Woodburn Ave. An Walnut St. As there is a yellow curb but people disregard it all the time. An I wouldn't be so upset about it if it weren't the fact my kid gets picked up right there an jer bus driver has to make that turn from Woodburn to 14th St. So he needs the room. Not only that I live on the dead end part of Woodburn and it makes it a pain to see around the cara that are parked in the yellow. So please keep an eye on this. Thanks!

Predatory Towing in Bloomington. I have noticed an increase in the amount of tow trucks in and around the downtown area. In particular, Speedy Wrecker Service, has continually towed multiple vehicles in parking meters and then demanded payment be made in cash only. If the city wants people to be invited to spend time downtown they need to create a city ordinances that addresses the cost of towing $100 flat fee and also uses the 24 hour waiting period. What kind of community does Bloomington want to be?
