This project will construct improved crosswalks at 2 locations throughout the City. The prioritized locations are 17th/Willis and Covenanter/Auto Mall. Design and construction is federally funded with a local match. This project utilizes funding from the Highway Safety Improvement Program (HSIP).
Etica Group has been selected as the design consultant. Project scoping was completed in 2025. Design and right-of-way acquisition (if required) will take place during 2025 and 2026. The project will be bid out for construction in mid-2027. Construction will begin late 2027 and should be complete by mid 2028.
