Parking

The asphalt surface parking lot for Highland Village Park is located at the end of South Harvey Drive. There are nine vehicle parking spaces + one designated wheelchair accessible parking space. The playground is about 213' along a concrete walkway from the parking lot. The picnic shelter is about 350' along a concrete walkway from the parking lot.

Amenities

An open-sided picnic shelter with a grill, waste receptacle, picnic tables and a concrete floor is available for use on a first-come, first-served basis. There is a full-size, asphalt basketball court at Highland Village Park; there is no hard-surface access to the basketball court.

Trail

A 178' concrete path connects Sugar Maple Circle on the south side of Highland Village Park with the .4-mile, concrete path around the park.

Restrooms / Drinking Water

There are no restroom facilities at Highland Village Park. There is a drinking fountain on the concrete path about 66' from the playground; the drinking fountain is turned on seasonally.

Bus Line

Bloomington Transit #3 West Inbound circles the Highland Village neighborhood.

Land and Water Conservation Fund

The ballfield, playground, picnic shelter, trails, landscaping, and park sign were partially funded in 1974 by the Land and Water Conservation Fund through the U.S. Department of Interior and the Indiana Department of Natural Resources.
