The Indiana Department of Transportation sends email news releases regarding state-led work on state roads in Monroe County. To sign up to receive INDOT news releases, go to the INDOT subscription page. The news releases are also posted to the INDOT Southeast Facebook page.
The below list includes only INDOT News Releases that have been sent and received by MPO staff via email, beginning in 2025. Note that INDOT does not necessarily publish unique new releases for all changes made to local state roads.
- September 25 2025: Short-term lane closures planned on I-69 in Monroe County
- August 28 2025: Bridge work continues on State Road 46 in Ellettsville
- July 18 2025: Chip seal operations planned on State Road 45 in Brown and Monroe Counties
- March 31 2025: Speed limit to be reduced on State Road 46 in Ellettsville
- March 25 2025: All-way stop coming to State Road 45 in Bloomington
