Mayor Hamilton to Host Dec. 17 Press Conference at Endwright East Active Living Community Center

WHAT: Mayor John Hamilton joins community partners in saluting the success of the six-month pilot program at Endwright East Active Living Community Center and sharing important news about the center’s future.  Community members are invited for refreshments and to enjoy the space (and join a movement class if they wish) after the remarks.

WHO: Speakers include Mayor Hamilton, former Bloomington Mayor Tomilea Allison, and Chris Myers, Chief Executive Officer, Area 10 Agency on Aging.

WHEN: Tuesday, December 17, from 10:30 to 11:30 a.m.

WHERE: Endwright East Active Living Community Center, next to Macy’s in the College Mall.

WHY: Having opened to the public June 18, 2019, Endwright East is the first facility dedicated to senior programming in Bloomington since 2009.  Supported by a grant from the City of Bloomington’s Jack Hopkins Social Services Funding Committee, the Endwright East pilot program represents a collaboration between the Area 10 Agency on Aging, the City of Bloomington Parks and Recreation Department, the City of Bloomington Commission on Aging, and IU Health Bloomington Alzheimer’s Resource Service.
