The City of Bloomington Utilities Expands Financial Assistance Program, Continues 16-year Partnership with South Central Community Action Program

The City of Bloomington Utilities (CBU) has raised the income threshold for its financial assistance program offered to customers in partnership with the South Central Community Action Program (SCCAP). A customer may now qualify if the household is at or below 300% of the Federal Poverty Guideline. For instance, a family of four with an annual income of $93,600 would be financially eligible.

Customers may qualify more than once per year, and other options such as payment plans are also available. Information can be found at bloomington.in.gov/utilities/residential.

CBU budgeted $50,000 for this program in 2024. To apply, please fill out an online interest form at civiform.bloomington.in.gov/programs/water-assistance or contact SCCAP at 812-339-3447.
