E Rogers Road Selected for Implementation of Resident-Led Traffic Calming

E Rogers Road has been selected for a traffic calming project through the 2026 application cycle of the Resident-Led Traffic Calming Program, an initiative designed to improve safety and reduce vehicle speeds on residential streets. E Rogers RD was identified as the highest priority corridor in the Traffic Calming rubric based on several factors, including vehicle speed, prevalence of vulnerable road users, walkability, and speed-related crash history along the roadway.

A public meeting to review the project’s preliminary design will be held Thursday, September 10, from 5:30–6:30 p.m. at Sherwood Oaks Church, 2700 E. Rogers Road. Please enter through Door 5 and proceed to the Fireside Room.

Neighbors will have an opportunity to review and provide feedback on a draft traffic-calming concept for E Rogers Road. An online survey will be available on the Traffic Calming webpage beginning Sept. 10.

The final design concept will be brought to the Transportation Commission for approval on Monday, Sept. 26, at 5:30 p.m. at City Hall Council Chambers, 401 N Morton Street. Residents may also participate online via Zoom or watch the meeting on CATS at catstv.net.
