The City of Bloomington's Engineering Department is a realigning the existing paved pedestrian trail at Moores Pike and Southeast Park to will increase the accessibility and safety of trail users. The trail will be slightly shifted southward, creating a safer shoulder slope for the eastbound lanes of Moores Pike and providing a more spacious buffer between the trail and the roadway. During construction, the trail will be closed between the Southeast Trail parking lot on Moores Pike and the Southeast Park tennis courts. The Southeast Trail parking lot will also be closed for use as a construction staging area, but pedestrian access will remain open between Moores Pike and the Southeast Trail (towards Sare Road). Construction is expected to begin in late March and wrap up in May. Thank you for your patience as we make these improvements.
