Climate Action Workshops are FREE to attend and are hosted monthly at Switchyard Park,(1601 S. Rogers St., Bloomington) inside the Pavilion. Following each workshop, presentation slides will be made available below. Go Green with Battery-Powered Lawn Equipment

Gas-powered lawn equipment emits 30 million tons of pollutants annually in the United States, accounting for a quarter of all non-road gasoline emissions. In this workshop, we will discuss how to reduce a household's carbon footprint and help Bloomington achieve its community-wide emission goals. Explore the benefits and impacts of going green with battery-powered lawn equipment and ways to make yards even "greener."

Tree Planting & Maintenance for Storm Resilience

Storm resiliency is a multi-faceted approach to tree care that involves choosing the right species for the right place, identifying and removing defects, pruning cycles, and reduction pruning. Learn about these techniques from the City's urban forester.
