The Board of Zoning Appeals (BZA) hears and makes the final decision on requests for variances from development standards in the Unified Development Ordinance. The BZA also hears and makes final decisions on conditional use requests. In addition, the BZA makes the final decision concerning appeals from administrative decisions.
The BZA consists of five standing members appointed either by the Mayor, Common Council or Plan Commission. The City Council and Mayor have the option to name alternates to any seat.

All Board of Zoning Appeals meetings take place in the City Council Chambers and begin at 5:30 pm unless otherwise announced. All meetings will also be held via Zoom until further notice.
