Griffy Lake Nature Preserve is managed with a focus on habitat restoration, invasive species control, and sustainable recreation to protect its diverse ecosystems. Land management strategies include prescribed burns to promote native plant growth and controlled deer hunts to maintain a balanced ecosystem and support forest regeneration. The Griffy Lake Master Plan, originally adopted in 2008 and updated annually, guides conservation efforts, including a trails master plan and wildlife inventories.
Through careful stewardship, Griffy Lake remains a thriving natural sanctuary for wildlife and visitors alike.
