Hi. I'm writing as the vice-president of the Near Westside Neighborhood Association. At our meeting last night, we discussed the assault that took place on the B-Line April 7th. A question came up as to how often the section between Fairview and North Adams is patrolled. Most of us felt that we see officers more often in the sections to the east of Fairview. And now that there is no summer shelter, we're wondering how to ensure our safety when walking that part of the trail. Thaks for your help!

What do the numbers on the light posts along the trail represent? Is it a distance?

Hello,
This afternoon I noticed that someone had set up an animal trap at the SE end of the lake in the Wapehani Mountain Bike Park (right next to the bridge over the stream that flows out of the lake). It's a large, spring-loaded cage.
Is this something that you're aware of, or is someone trying to catch animals illegally?
Best,
Kasia Chmielewska

Hello,
I live at the end of Stull Ave. There is a path between some shrubs into Bryan Park at that point. Right now it is a soil path which gets muddy and is eroding. Is it possible to have some wood chips or gravel put down? Thanks in advance for any help you can give.
Regards,
Jean Mayfield-Morelli

Hello, I left a message for the Marketing person in Parks and Rec last week asking for permission to use a photo of the B-Line or Clear Creek trail. Just following up to see if someone can assist.
Thank you.

Dell Douglas called this morning to voice her concerns about bicycles on the paths and sidewalks at Bryan Park. During the past 3 years she has noticed more dangerous conditions due to the speed of bikers on the paths in the park. Most recently, she was walking far to the right on the path near the stream and a family on bicyles nearly ran into her. They were moving so quickly she was unable to say anything to them. She feels there is more disregard for pedestrians walking in the park and is afraid someone will suffer serious injury if things don't change.
She would appreciate a call back from Mick after 6/14. Phone: 339-1137

Hello--
Once a week a group of us run on the Rail Trail...we are primarily a collection of faculty from IU who really enjoy the trails that P&R provide (THANKS). We are also truly a multi-generational group...with a couple of our members ALWAYS....and I do mean always....mentioning how nice they thought it was to see a plaque honoring George Heise and others near the bridge at the end of the Rail Trail. George was a longtime member of the Psychology department and a colleague/teacher for many in our group. So, they were very saddened to see that the plaque has been stolen. I've attached a picture of where it used to be, and hope you could find it in the budget to replace it. I'd appreciate a response. Thanks again.

Large poison ivy is growing at the entrance to the rails to trails path. Specifically, it is on the fence on the East side/corner of the parking lot, along the sidewalk - growing out, towards the sidewalk. I know what it is (and to avoid it), but not everyone would. Could it be sprayed to kill it? (One time when I think the weed is worse than the poison needed to remove it!) Thank you.

Cynthia owns property just north of Bryan Park at 818 E Maxwell. On Bryan Park property just south of her property there are 4 drainage tiles that have collapsed. Holes are 6-12in deep in area that has not been mowed.

To whom it may concern,
We are thinking about buying a property in The Stands that borders the Goat Farm property and the Jackson Creek Trail. I was wondering what the rules and regulations, if any, are for building a trail on our property that would connect with the park property. Any information you can give would be appreciated.
Thanks so much,
