How about adding a left-turn arrow to the traffic signal at 3rd and Woodscrest, for people trying to turn left onto Woodscrest from Third? It is very difficult for more than a single vehicle to turn left there when there is any amount of traffic. There is a popular bank (IUCU) on Woodscrest, and more importantly, UrgentCare is there.

Traffic southbound on Jordan is always held up by people waiting for the left turn to go east on Atwater. Countless times I've seen that the light has already cycled to yellow by the time northbound traffic has cleared, and as a result cars have backed up all the way to third st. If the switching equipment allows jordan southbound to get green BEFORE jordan northbound, it will improve intersection throughput tremendously.

During peak hours of the day (4-6:00pm), I would like to see a no left-turn sign from east-bound third street onto Rose or Union. In addition, it would be nice to have a no left-turn sign from those roads turning on third street. This area gets very congested during the standard commute to the east side and significant delays are caused by motorist trying to make those turns.

Corner of Dunn and 3rd street, need to place an additional "no turn on red sign" next to signal light. Many people turn right onto 3rd street from Dunn in front of on-coming traffic.

Crosswalk needs a vertical sign to caution drivers to slow down and respect crosswalk. This is at Hunter and High St.

Today I was at the intersection of Woodscrest and E Third, and the signal light was blinking red for north-south traffic and yellow for east-west traffic. I was traveling north on Woodscrest. From this side if the intersection, it is virtually impossible to tell (in daylight) that the traffic on Third has a blinking yellow -- meaning they DO NOT have to stop. From Woodscrest, with a blinking red, it could easily be misinterpreted as a 4-way stop! In addition, as I sat there waiting for an opportunity to turn left, I watched several cars on Third stop as if they did have a red blinker. This happened sometimes in only one lane, while someone else zoomed by in the other lane. Or traffic would stop heading east, but the cars heading west just drove on through. I just waited, knowing the drivers on Third had no obligation to stop. Then a car came up behind me and honked at me several times because I didn't go into the intersection. In fact, when I finally decided just to turn right and then circle back, I saw the car behind me just pull out in front of a car that was, rightfully, driving through heading west. I have often discussed with my husband the stupidity of having a traffic signal that requires the driver to be able to know what the OTHER traffic lane's signal is, rather than just seeing and obeying his OWN signal. The result is that the driver on the red side could, and often does, assume that the driver on the other road will stop. What other traffic sign/signal/light requires a driver to see what SOME OTHER DRIVER is supposed to do? I'll answer that -- none! But enough of my rant -- in this location, it is not really possible to tell what the other signal says. At least during daylight hours, if the signal isn't working, you should probably make it default to red blinking in both directions. Thanks, Jeannette Smedberg

Dangerous Crossing of Third Street. Traffic on 3rd is going one-way west. Traffic on Henderson is going one-way north. Cars wishing to make a right on red often only look left (to spot oncoming traffic) and do not look right, where pedestrians are crossing with a little white man telling them it's safe to go. I have witnessed three very close calls where pedestrians trying to cross were almost hit by drivers making a right on red. The solution is to prohibit a right on red in this very heavily trafficked area. Please don't wait for someone to be actually hit to make this change. Thanks!

There are no stop signs or speed bumps for a long section on Maxwell Lane between High Street and Jordan Avenue. The speed limit is 25. People are regularly driving 50. From Jordan heading east toward Sheridan there is a hill. Traffic turning or crossing at Mitchell aren’t able to see over the hill. If people drove the posted speed limit, it would not be an issue. There is regular honking as people speeding east on Maxwell crest the hill to find cars turning onto Maxwell from Mitchell or the residences. There are also many elementary students in the very near area, and a bus stop on Maxwell at Sheridan. A stop sign at Mitchell or Sheridan on Maxwell would drastically improve the safety of the area.

Intersection at South Rogers and Chambers is often blocked for vehicles entering or exiting Chambers. Blocked traffic is due to close proximity to Rockport and South Rogers intersection. Please paint white X or similar markings on pavement at Chambers and South Rogers intersection to keep vehicles off of this 3 way intersection.
