High-school student parking in a van accessible handicap spot. Bloomington North student parking i.d. tag #0372 hanging from rearview mirror. Witnessed doing this on numerous occasions.
This Silver Toyota Camry has been parking in the handicap parking out front of building 504 at the Village at Muller Park for a few weeks now and I have just now learned from the owner that she is not disabled and is “borrowing” the tag from someone so she always has good parking. I have friends and family members who are disabled and due to limited parking being taken up by someone without a disability, they are unable to get the parking they would need for access to visit- as well as any residents living there who may also be disabled. Thank you.
The residents at 812 S Morton blocked an ADA parking spot immediately north of their property with two trash receptacles and then moved them to have a large pile of mulch delivered to the space 30 minutes later.
Backing into the parking spots is not accessible. It takes too long to back into a spot and other cars honk at each other. I yelled that cars behind me had to back up, and they told me to shut the fuck up. Not conducive. Please change them back to front end parking. Please bring peace back to bloomington
A large white box truck taking up residential street parking. It appears this person is moving this truck around the neighborhood. I believe the owner is running a business out of this truck. He meets people and appears to sell parts and then he locks the truck and rides away on a bicycle. There is a solar panel on top of the truck and a power cord running in. The owner and 'customers' meet and climb in to the back of the truck through the cab and then leave after some time. I have seen this because he has parked by my house more than once. It is concerning because parking is so very limited in my neighborhood and this truck is taking up a valuable residential parking. I have noticed he moves the truck around the neighborhood every few days so he is aware of not parking it for very long to avoid receiving a citation. Thank you for your attention to this matter.
The elevator has been out of service for three weeks as of last Saturday. It would be helpful if a notice could be placed at the entrance to the garage itself in addition to the elevator doors, so that someone who can't manage stairs will know the elevator isn't available. Disregard if fixed. Thank you.
Parking lot is completely covered in ice and is not usable. I rely on this for work and am delayed since I can't even drive I to the lot due to ice. Co worker almost hurt himself and others property trying to get out.
In the 4th Street Parking Garage all 6 of the electric vehicle charging stations were not working. They appeared fine but when connecting or using the EVConnect app they were shown to be "in maintenance" and would not charge. This was Sunday January 23. I tried all 6 stations.
The parking lines on the south side of the square are even more invisible than they were last year when I requested they be re-painted. I was told last summer that the painting was scheduled, and then it was winter and it hadn't been done. Then I was told it was scheduled for this past spring. It's still not done. Weekday parking in Zone 4 has become nearly impossible since the recent ordinance change which combined Zones 4 & 5 AND the change to not allow zone 4 parkers to use empty metered spaces. Zone 4 is now filled with parkers from the Library and off-campus fraternity houses using visitor passes for their bros who drive in to park. HELP, Please.
