The sidewalk on 2nd St between Arbutus and Eastside has large sections of hardened paving material that is a tripping hazard and an eyesore. It appears to be from a road repair there (perhaps where the water main broke) and may have been thrown up on the sidewalk with snow removal.

At (or very close to) 509 N Lincoln St there has been water flowing onto the sidewalk for months. There is now a huge mud slick across several yards of sidewalk that everyone waking on that side has to step into the street to avoid.

Crews have patched potholes on Montclair Ave within the last few weeks, but they missed an area that is on the edge of the roadway, next to the curb, near the southeast corner of Montclair, right near the intersection with Rock Creek. There are several holes that fill with water after a storm, leaving standing water that will encourage mosquito breeding. Please come back and fix this spot.
Thanks,
John

fiber optic crews have broken out two large chunks of the new curbs installed a few years back to control water run off. I am concerned that these unseated and cracked curbs will cause further water damage that you just fixed. south of 426 e blue ridge dr. is the location and my address. I think the fiber optic people should be fixing this and not the city needing to come back to fix it again. thanks

The property owner just south of me added a driveway ramp in September 2013 that completely prevents water runoff on the east side of N. Park Ridge Rd. (My property is #300). Water stands for weeks without draining. It is a traffic hazard - especially now when it completely freezes over. (I spoke with members of the street dept. who were out trying to clear the area during the last storm on Jan. 5/6. They told me they would report it to the dept.). It will be an even more severe health hazard in the spring/summer during mosquito breeding season. I understand the need for the ramp. However, could you persuade this resident to at least partially remove some of the ramp to allow water to effectively drain once again - please? I made a report on this issue in September 2013. According to this program the case was/is closed. However no action was taken and the situation persists.

This is my second report on this issue: Water meter protruding approx. 2.5 in the *middle* of the sidewalk near 438 W Somersbe Place (county). I have seen numerous people trip and one person fell but fortunately was not seriously injured. It is only a matter of time until someone is. The liability is yours.

The sidewalk at the north edge of the Goat Farm is covered with mud and water. I reported this on 3/30, #172124, and it was cleaned up. The problem appears to be a lack of drainage causing the standing water and residual mud.

I've reported this area twice, #172124 and #172370, but today it's impassable again due to standing water. I appreciate the work you've done to clean it up. I use this sidewalk frequently and I would like to know what permanent solution will be installed to stop this problem from recurring. It seems like the ground on the downhill side needs to be lowered next to the sidewalk to allow the water to run off.

618 S Ballantine and many properties drain water onto the street, which freezes on the sidewalk. Not here, but often it is drains through a retaining wall directly on to the sidewalk. DANGER to PEDESTRIANS.

I live at the corner of 16th and Hancock .
I have two points to address. the first, is thtat I talked with an individual last year involved with storm water just after the culvert at my corner had been replaced, and advised this had been a missed opportunity to upsize this culvert, and that I had witnessed overflow of the corner culvert in a number of storms. this past tuesday, August 9, 2022, we had about an hour of rain. Included are pictures of the overflow that lasted about 45 minutes after rain had ceased.
My street has recently been repaved and i thought , perhaps a remedy might be included in this process, however, no.
Additionally, thegravel shoulder that has been added to finalize this new repaving process has stopped short of my property, and the new asphalt topping was not tapered onto my asphalt driveway, even though they primed a sweep into my drive, indicating to me that bonding a transition had probaly originally been intended. Now i have a bump approaching the street that is collecting gravel from these overwash events. the North side of 16th between Monroe and Hancock has not had a gravel shoulder appliction. Is ther more work scheduled to complete the gravel shoulder.
Please view the pictures included.
thanks, bill Goodhew
PS I have two more pictures, but this report format does not allow me to load more than one. Happy to send them to someones phone
