Uncleared sidewalk is making the pedestrian thoroughfare unsafe and inaccessible.
Uncleared sidewalk is making the pedestrian thoroughfare unsafe and inaccessible.
Unshoveled sidewalks have turned into a sheet of ice. Unsafe for pedestrian walkway.
I was at the downtown antique mall on Monday and the meter I used is eating quarters. I put in $1.25 and got thirty minutes on the meter. I decided not to put any more in after that because I didn’t know whether it would give me credit for any of them. H76137 7thw0. It’s right directly across from the antique mall on the north side.
Sidewalks not cleared and ICY. As seen in attachment all other sidewalks are cleared and safe
Ice covering sidewalks on both sides of street. Last year was the same, never clear ice or snow from sidewalks. These are house rentals for IU students, so surely the owners can afford snow, ice removal!
South side sidewalk is all ice. Very unsafe. Needs ice melt .
I live across from Rosehill and walked into town today. Many of my neighbors had not yet shoveled their walks, making me walk in the street, which is never a great idea. The worse address was 516 W 3rd, but there were many bad sports between my house and downtown (and some bad spots downtown). It’s been more than 24 hours since the snow stopped. Please remind people about the snow removal ordinance, and please do a much better job of enforcing it. Thank you.
I’m beyond disappointed that the city is planning to replace the brick sidewalks downtown with more bricks. The ADA requires that sidewalks be firm, stable and slip resistant. Bricks are slipperier than concrete when wet, and bricks are prone to breaking or get dislodged. The city has not maintained its existing brick sidewalks well. Please reconsider this decision, and please consult your accessibility committee before you go forth with this misguided project. Safety should prevail over looks.
