Corner of Nancy and Viva. I would like to request a stop sign. Traffic on Nancy moves quickly, and visibility is poor for cars exiting from Viva onto Nancy. Cars also frequently turn quickly from Nancy to Viva (going north) and have limited visibility. The corner is a school bus stop, and Viva is a street where many children live and ride their bikes. If a stop sign isn't possible, the next solution would be to cut back the medium-sized pine trees on the south side of the corner on the Viva side. Thanks.

The stoplight at the corner of S. College Mall Rd. and E. Buick Cadillac Blvd is quite dangerous. I live in Hunter Ridge apartments and when I leave the complex at the light in that intersection, I'm regularly almost hit by cars coming from the opposite side of the intersection (near Burger King). When I try to go straight through that intersection, as I have the right-a-way, those cars turning left regularly cut me off. The same often happens when I try to turn right. I would strongly suggest putting in a left turn arrow on that Burger King side of the intersection; someone is going to be severely injured if not. Thank you.

2712 S Banta AVE
- Case Date:

The two blocks of S. Banta Ave that connect Tapp Road to Ralston and West Graham have no sidewalks, and many children live in the vicinity (including my own). The Broadview Learning Center's playground a few blocks away is a major draw for the neighborhood children, both in houses and in apartment buildings up and down this road. However, the lack of traffic control on Ralston and the ability to cut up Banta Avenue from Tapp Road during times of the day when the Tapp/Rockport intersection becomes congested due to commuter and other traffic (especially those using it as a means to connect to 37), means that cars race up Banta to speed around the corner and shortcut to Rockport. Since the neighborhood children have no sidewalks here, or on Graham (which is a major route to the only park that is easily accessible), it is incredibly hazardous.
If the city won't oversee the creation of sidewalks on these busy "shortcut" roads, could some signs and speed bumps be put in? Particularly on Banta, which is built on a hill up one side and down the other, irresponsible car traffic makes all the parents (and neighbors) frightened for our children.
Additionally, the triangular corner of Rockport and Graham and Banta has no shoulder trimmed back from the large pine trees there, which not only makes it difficult to see around, but more hazardous for the many bus patrons that get off at the Countryview Apartments, and are forced to cut through the private property on the opposite side of the street, rather than risk being hit by a motorist that can't see them around that corner.

We need a speed bump on Allen, in between S. Patterson and Fairview. People drive very fast down the hill west of Patterson towards Fairview, right into a residential area where there are many young children and children waiting for the schoolbus

Crosswalk needs a vertical sign to caution drivers to slow down and respect crosswalk. This is at Hunter and High St.

One of my constituents is wondering why there are not more 25 MPH speed limit signs on Grant St. between Grimes and Hillside. Are you still in process of putting these up? Also, there need to be more on Washington and Lincoln along the same stretch, she says.

333 S Highland AVE

When heading N on Highland and turning L onto 3rd Street, it is extremely difficult to see around the TIS Bookstore. Cars with long noses practically have to inch out into traffic to see whether any vehicles are coming. (I suspect this may be partly responsible for the collision at the intersection I saw a few days ago.)
My suggestion for a solution is to install convex traffic mirrors to increase visibility around the corner. These are used to excellent effect in the many tight corners in Europe, where streets and buildings often existed long before modern traffic conditions.

There is an unmarked meridian as you approach 3rd street going north on Clarizz. At night, it's difficult to see the concrete meridian because you are driving up hill. There needs to be a sign there, directing you to veer to the right.

We have cars flying down Ruby Ln heading to High Street. Our house is on the corner of Ruby and S. Covenanter and they fly down Ruby Lane and turn having headed into the ditch. My main concern is that cars fly down Ruby Lane and we have several families with small children. On the lower side of Ruby Lane there is no sidewalk and these cars are flying down the road. Their speed would kill a pedestrian or a child playing if they got hit. It would be nice with a sign or a speed bump to slow some of the traffic flying down E. Ruby Lane. We never see police officers patrol our neighborhood...not even when we file a report that we are out of town and would like beefed up security checks. The same culprits drive exceedingly fast down both E. Ruby Lane and E. Southdowns Drive and never get ticketed for speeding. If you want to get extra income for the city...that would be the way to do it. Set up a police officer and catch all the drivers driving too fast down these streets.
