I come to Petition the City to Vote to petition the state to fallow suit in dealing with Antifa / BLM domestics terrorist , Florida Governor Ron DeSantis introduced new legislation aimed at curbing violent protest activities. “Combatting Violence, Disorder and Looting and Law Enforcement Protection Act”.
Notably, the legislation would create a new criminal offense in the state of Indiana that would make it a crime to obstruct a roadway during a unpermitted protest, demonstration or violent or disorderly assembly. The proposed legislation would also ensure that a “driver is NOT liable for injury or death caused if fleeing for safety from a mob.“
create or refine and make clear the or a law to support law to make criminal offenses for the following activities:
when 7 or more persons are involved in an assembly and cause damage to property or injury to other persons to destroy public property during a violent or disorderly assembly
1st degree misdemeanor for a participant in a violent or disorderly assembly to harass or intimidate a person at a public accommodation, such as a restaurant
RICO liability attaches to anyone who organizes or funds a violent or disorderly assembly.
Such corresponds with standing case law , “When a person, being without fault, is in a place where he has a right
to be, is violently assaulted, he may, without retreating, repel by
force, and if, in the reasonable exercise of his right of self defense,
his assailant is killed, he is justified.” Runyan v. State, 57 Ind. 80;
Miller v. State, 74 Ind. 1.

Just had a question. What are the cones at 3rd and N Smith for? Are improvements happening? Hope so. The new bike lanes are cool but N Smith is backing up more now with inability to turn easily. Thank you!

There used to be a no parking sign on the west side of Grant Street on the block just north of Hillside, but it isn't there anymore. The residents all park on the east side of the street except for some new tenants who don't know about this convention. The extra cars on the west side of the street make the street narrow enough that it would be impassable to fire trucks (and probably even the sanitation trucks).

The Flying Fish construction at 1020 East Maxwell Lane is very disruptive. There is a lot of noise from early morning through the afternoon. Trucks beeping, sawing... Since I am working from home, the noise really interferes with my being able to work effectively. There are so many trucks parked along Manor Road that people have difficulty driving down Manor. The large dumpster they have on Maxwell Lane, blocks the view and makes turning onto Maxwell rather dangerous. More trucks parked on Maxwell add to this challenge. This construction has been going on a long time.

A Red Chevy Cavalier has been blocking W. 8th Street (dead end side going toward Adams) for almost 2 weeks. It appears to be abandoned with the license plate removed. The rear end is heavily damaged and the owner left a note in the back windshield.

Adam Wason closed a case as address was not specific. Wondering and praying that a redesign was part of the construction happening now between SPEA and Wells Library on 10th. Hoping the opportunity to fix that dangerous and clogged mess of a crosswalk is happening even if it was something with steam tunnels that caused it to be dug up. Now is the time to make a huge improvement. Been talking to others about it in town and NO ONE thinks it's good as is. I think it's just east of Fee Lane. Thanks if so. And bless you if so. If not, massive missed opportunity. Also is law lane going to the bypass someone said soon? Thanks.
