1st thing brings me to this site, my trash was not picked up today even tho was out last nite, damn near 40 bucks a month is 3 x what i was paying with stickers, for the same amount of trash, this sux ass for the poor man, the other thing when i 1st moved to Bloomington it was a nice and beautiful lil city, now its a bunch of apartments AND I mean A bunch, your tearing town Victorian style homes and houses to put up concrete cubes all over, most with no tornado hide outs, looks like a bunch of coffins waiting to happen just add students. And last yr ya jacked up the water rates to pay for folks who dont even live here yet, and the water quality is no good without filters, if this is your ideal of progress all i have to say is why destroy a beautiful town, my guess is all you folks cashing in on bloomington redevelopment. have moved out of town and just really dont care what ya did to the rest of us, because i now live in a town where most of us who moved in 15 yrs and earlier cant afford to live anymore, and since the town has grown ugly who cares, you folks have ruined a once beautiful and free thinking town, replaced buy an over priced town of apartments, nothing but an IU leech. im so sad ya'll did this to the town i was gonna spend my last yrs in.....

Trying to use the online bill pay service for water, but it repeatedly is erroring out on me. Here is the error (stack trace), better error handling would be great, as this is not human readable in terms of actions to take.. Server Error in '/eSuite.Utilities' Application. Runtime Error Description: An application error occurred on the server. The current custom error settings for this application prevent the details of the application error from being viewed remotely (for security reasons). It could, however, be viewed by browsers running on the local server machine. Details: To enable the details of this specific error message to be viewable on remote machines, please create a <customErrors> tag within a "web.config" configuration file located in the root directory of the current web application. This <customErrors> tag should then have its "mode" attribute set to "Off". <!-- Web.Config Configuration File --> <configuration> <system.web> <customErrors mode="Off"/> </system.web> </configuration> Notes: The current error page you are seeing can be replaced by a custom error page by modifying the "defaultRedirect" attribute of the application's <customErrors> configuration tag to point to a custom error page URL. <!-- Web.Config Configuration File --> <configuration> <system.web> <customErrors mode="RemoteOnly" defaultRedirect="mycustompage.htm"/> </system.web> </configuration>
Indeed there was unscheduled server maintenance done on the water payment server. Please contact utilities customer service if you need additional help. 812 349 3930 during 8am to 5pm. Thank you

How does one email the mayor or any other city official? This ought to be part of our digital century. More specifically, i want information on how I can personally filter my water to make it safe. I'd like to see water safety information front and center on your website. Thanks.

Hello,
My name is Harris Bell, and I was wondering how to get the water utilities back in my name via your website for 1709 East Atwater. We had subletters move out of our place and need to make sure to maintain the property. When you get the chance I would love to get your help to restore payments for the house.
Thanks,
Harris

Hi there!
My name is Melanie Nelson, I work in environmental services for Daly City. Our department is putting together a workshop on water conservation in the home as part of our "Going Green" series. We see it as a great way to protect the environment while also educating the community and saving them money, it's a win-win-win situation!
Your page, http://bloomington.in.gov/waterwise , has been awesome as a guide for the event planning committee, and we can't thank you enough for posting it!
The reason I'm emailing you is because a local middle school class has been helping us with the endeavor as a volunteer project and they (very proudly, I might add) found a great article here: http://www.improvenet.com/a/water-conservation-at-home . The article is a basic overview for children on water conservation in the home and its benefits, with links to several great sources for both children and adults. I think the kids would be absolutely stoked if you were to post a link to the article on your page, they love to help out wherever they can, and seeing the link on your page would show them that they've made a difference and their actions have had an impact (however small).
Please let me know if this is a possibility and I look forward to hearing back from you soon!
Thanks again!
-Melanie

To whom it may concern:
I was at the website for sustainability and water barrels, here:
http://bloomington.in.gov/documents/viewDocument.php?document_id=5952
There is a paragraph, "A typical rain barrel is a drum with 50-60 gallons of capacity. In Bloomington, you can buy a rain barrel from Earth Care, the Monroe County Soil & Water Conservation District and others. Or, you can build your own! Download our step-by-step instructionshere (DOC 368.00 KB)."
Unfortunately the link to the "Monroe County Soil & Water Conservation District" seems to go to a New York page! I doubt this is intentional?
Please let me know. The 2013 fee schedule says $45 for a rain barrel, which I might be interested in if I can really pick one up in Bloomington IN.
Thank you!
Sincerely,
Jacob Neumann
