Water overflow underneath the townnhomes
Water overflow underneath the townnhomes
This is my second report on this issue: Water meter protruding approx. 2.5 in the *middle* of the sidewalk near 438 W Somersbe Place (county). I have seen numerous people trip and one person fell but fortunately was not seriously injured. It is only a matter of time until someone is. The liability is yours. Last week there was a water main issue on N Kinser Pike very close to the entrance of Upper Cascades Park. There is a deep cut made in the pavement as you are driving N that will make you get new tires and an alignment. The signage is good but that doesn't go far enough. THE HOLE NEEDS ABOUT 4 INCHES OF FILLER AND SMOOTHED. THANKS. I'd say we could bury some evidence in it..but I'm not sure that's a good idea. Because I live next to Cascades Golf Course and many, many people drive that portion of Kinser Pike please HURRY UP..
Drain ditch is running with brown water around entire block. Broken water line?
leaking water line
Near the alley way at 401 N Dunn water does not drain properly and builds up with gravel and dirt making it difficult for handicap travel. 8th Street has been paved over so many times that drainage is impaired. There is quite a bit of debris there now and this holds a lot of water during a rain event. Finally the alley has been patched a little but it is in pretty bad shape and needs redone. Thank you; Dave Kamen
three years ago when we had a water main break they tore up this section of my yard and it was under the street. It has never grown grass. Twice I have them come back and put more seed on it asked for soil (which never happened) only sees and straw. This spring I put on 10 bags of garden soil and grass seed. And it had just started to grow. When this rain came and washed it all away. I would like the city to put sod in. after 3 years and 2 to 3 inches of soil and sod still missing it seems to be the only solution!
405 E 20th Street Bloomington IN: CBU repaired a water line at the rear of the property, removed a fence and did not repair or replace the fence. Reported to CBU Transmission & Distribution last week, not follow-up phone call. Olympus Properties (812) 334-8200
Small (~7" diameter) metal access cover (valve down there?) labeled "Water" in the middle of 10th street on the east side of the intersection with Dunn is damaged, completely missing the central portion of the lid and creating a hazard if someone steps in it or a small animal falls in. There is also another one with nearly an identical problem (or completely missing) about 50 feet west at the intersection of 10th and a funny little road named "Prow".
In November the city engineering team came out and added a new side inlet to an existing drain that goes under Dunn street from the back of 2950 N Lakewood. However, the only erosion prevention put in place was some straw. With all the nearby honeysuckle/plant removal the recent storms have caused a lot of the nearby dirt (and straw) to move and now the drain is almost completely filled with dirt and debris that has entered in the last couple rain storms. I tried reaching out a few times (Kriste L and Phil P) this past winter but haven't seen anything put in to help hold the dirt in place until some plants/grasses grow in. The water flow is certainly much improved with the new inlet, but in my opinion the job is just not quite complete.
