From a citizen: West-bound lane of E. 3rd near intersection of Smith Road, looks like a small access cover has been dislocated or damaged so that jagged metal is sticking up out of the road.
8" water valve cover popped off at Hillside & Dorchester. Eastbound lane of Hillside. Cover at base of stopsign/streetsign SE corner of intersection. This is the 3rd time I've reported this in just over a week (1st 2x's by phone). Why don't you replace with a cover that can be LOCKED DOWN to keep it in place?
The manhole covers on 7th are getting loose again and cause a lot of noise when cars drive over them. There is a lot more traffic on 7th traffic on 7th street and you can hear the noise 27/7. A crew came out in June and fixed the problem, but the problem is back. There needs to be some kind of rubber ring installed to abate the noise. The covers are also not seated correctly, making them rattle.
What IS GOING ON? I reported a water valve cover missing over 3 weeks ago on 1800 E Hillside Dr at the corner of 1500 S Dorchester Dr. You have an 8" hole in the road & right at school bus stop.
The ditch between my driveway and the adjoining driveway is clogged with dirt and debris that I want removed. I can do it, but I don't want to encroach on a neighbor's land or the City of Bloomington land without permission. the ditch is not on the pavement but may lie within the City's right-of-way, and I may need your permission or guidance to clear the drainage ditch and empty the culvert underneath my driveway. Is University Street an easement or a fee title? We also have a dead ash tree a yard from the pavement on the lot line, probably due to the Asian emerald ash borer, an invasive pest, and I have other live ash trees that I would protect. What are the rules for removing the hazard tree?

Hello. There is a dual drainage grate system in the middle of Blair Ave just before W 12th Court heading North. It looks as if the grates are sinking and are going to fall into the hole under them. There is major damage and erosion of the structural integrity of the cement and asphalt surrounding the grates and across the entire street. There is exposed metal bars that drivers swerve to miss to protect their cars putting humans and parked vehicles at risk. Can you please help? Thank you for all that you do!
Can the loose sand and gravel be swept up at the intersection of Fenbrook Lane and East Moores Pike? For westbound bicyclists on Moores Pike who are turning north onto Fenbrook, the sand and gravel presents a hazardous situation. Cyclists are approaching at speed since there is a downhill, they want to make a smooth, wide turning radius, but the sand and gravel presents an potentially dangerous obstacle while turning. Near the alley way at 401 N Dunn water does not drain properly and builds up with gravel and dirt making it difficult for handicap travel. 8th Street has been paved over so many times that drainage is impaired. There is quite a bit of debris there now and this holds a lot of water during a rain event. Finally the alley has been patched a little but it is in pretty bad shape and needs redone.
