Received an anonymous voice mail in ESD with a phone # 317-468-3545. He is complaining of a potential business going in at this address where there are tents & smokers in the back. The East-West alley in this location is not accessible by neighbors. This alley has not been vacated, but is blocked on both sides by gates installed by the property owner at 910 N Madison. The gate on the east side is topped with barbed wire and makes the gate on the back of my property that used to be accessible to the alley, no longer usable. These gates also block any pedestrian traffic from walking from the Habitat neighborhood to Madison Street or connecting to the alley in the Maple Heights Neighborhood directly on the other side of Madison. The blocking of this un-vacated alley with locks, gates, and barbed wire makes it inaccessible and gives the impression that it is solely for the use as a driveway for the property owner at 910 N Madison Street. Alleys are essential connectors in traditional neighborhoods like this one for pedestrians, wildlife, as well as for neighbors to access the rear of their property. I would like to be able to access the rear of my property through the installed gate once again. I have photos that show the area I am referring to, but am not able to upload them due to the limit of one photo upload. This alley would also be convenient to many people as a connector for walking to the western side of Maple Heights Neighborhood, Tri-North Middle School, or the public Mills Pool, but it is instead blocked for public use. I would like to request that someone come out to view this site and the fences for compliance with the alley being not vacated and for the use of barbed wire.

The fence that was installed along the border of a vacated alley is excessively tall. Can someone come out to this location to assess the height of the fence and the shed that is even taller that was built right on the property line. This fence blocks light and is very tall from my side of the property. I have other photos of this fence from different angles, but can't upload them here due to the limit of one photo upload.

There is absolutely no parking available for residents who live at 1200 W Kirkwood Ave apartments. The resident who lives in 1208 1/2 has 6 different vehicles parked on N Pine Street and has made parking impossible for anyone else who lives here. I’m reporting this here as I’m not sure of anywhere else to report this? Any help or suggestions would be greatly appreciated. Numerous attempts to speak with the tenant have failed.

I work in the County Government Center on the north end of the Showers Building. The HVAC unit associated with the City of Bloomington Government Center is creating so much noise that it is audible in my office. This is a public nuisance. Even to walk into the Showers Building at the 10th Street entrance is almost unbearable due to the screeching, incessant noise. Nobody should have to hear that awful noise. I appreciate your attention to this matter and look forward to some peace and quiet. Curious to know when this HVAC unit was installed and if it is slated for replacement anytime soon.

What about the other cars parked the same way? There’s no entailed rule within the property’s say so. My permit doesn’t exceed me out of any bounds to doing something incorrectly, I’ve been parking that way since the beginning of the year, why is it just now an issue? It’s because cops don’t go to that area unless they have to, it’s not a normal street you take unless you’re going into the Park on Morton property, proving my point of being within the property’s say so and my ticket being invalid. I’m just dialing to comprehend how I’ve faulted.
