This project will install three traffic calming devices (speed humps) on West Allen Street between Adams Street and Patterson Drive. Two of these devices will also serve as raised crosswalks to facilitate pedestrian access to the existing bus stops (one near Mother Hubbard's Cupboard and one near The Willows Townhouses) and the third will be located approximately midway between the two bus stops. A detailed plan set is available at the bottom of this webpage. This traffic calming is specifically designed to reduce the high traffic speeds that have been observed by area residents and verified by data collection.

Construction funding for this project was prioritized by the City Council Sidewalk Committee.

A public meeting to discuss traffic calming in this area was held on:

Tuesday June 18th

Mother Hubbard's Cupboard

1100 W. Allen St.

6:00 pm - 7:30 pm

Construction is expected to be complete by the end of May 2020 (subject to change based on scheduling and weather).
