Mr. McGuire is receiving water run-off from 2408 E. 8th Street. His basement has become flooded
The culvert runs under Fritz Drive from N. Dunn Street. The runoff is coming onto Sullivan's property causing a water problem. Sullivan stated that this happened approximately 2 years ago and the City came out and installed rip rap.
There is a basin in the backyard of the above address. The basin normally filters the runoff alleviating a backup of water. But lately the basin has not been working properly and the resident of the above address has a flooded basement. Is it the City's responsibility to clean this basin? Could someone check to see if there is a problem?
Medlyn states that the stone wall is on City property (?) and is about to fall in. The water runoff sometimes pools at the back of this wall causing erosion and the wall appears to be falling in.
Carter stated that there is an easement that runs between her house and 1170 E. Benson Ct. The water is suppose to flow in this easement but it has not been able hold the capacity the last few rains. She realizes that we have had heavy rains, but she is wondering if there is something wrong that it is now not able to handle the flow. She has thought about possibly doing some excavation work to help alleviate some of the water runoff.
When it rains the water runs between the houses of 1249 and 1251 E. Miller Dr. The complaintant says that she assumes that there is water running under the foundation of her house. The water also runs about 2 feet from her house in some places.
Storm water has caused problems on either side culvert next to home.
There is standing water in the front yards of both 1249 & 1251 E. Miller Drive. There is a small stream that now runs between 1249 & 1251. She is afraid that with all this standing water, that the crawlspaces will be flooded, if they already aren't. This subdivision is called Highland Gardens and has had problems in the past with drainage.
Kevin Spicer built duplexes at 609 (A/B) & 611 (A/B) E. Miller Drive approx. 2 years ago. Miller sets higher than Moody Avenue. The design was to have the water divert around Nelson's property. Her backyard has flooded since the bldgs have been put in, last night her basement flooded. She realizes we had a big rain but her backyard continues to flood every time it rains. Can someone check the plans to see what the design was for this development.
