Ms. Aslami left a voice mail on 11/26/13. I returned her call on 11/27/13. She was difficult to understand but I believe she said she has water that comes up from their garage drain when it rains hard and she wants the city to fix it.
Drainage problems, customer would like a new culvert built. Per Tony Eads, I have assigned this to Phil Pedin in CBU Engineering Dept.
Mr Gardner called again this week because he said the pipe under Wylie Farm road is still blocked and nothing has been done since he called in months ago.
Have been having ongoing issues with storm water running down Wilton St. from Arden Dr. and Hillside Dr. Was told Wilton St. was going to be repaved (about two years ago). Street patchwork has began washing out. Storm drains in front of her home were allegedly installed improperly. Has had minimal contact with Phil Peden, Utilities, but not satisfied with City's actions to date.
Rega called in at 9am 9/23/13 requesting an update and explaining that her property was again hit hard by the latest rain. She also indicated that the adjacent property was being paved and could cause her more problems
The property owner, Rega Wood, is concerned about the drainage coming from the north and crossing onto her property. The existing inlets in Rose Ave. cannot handle the amount of water they receive.
He is making improvements to the property for the property manager (Linda Quillan at Action Property Management) and says we need to do something about the water that comes in the back yard and floods the basement.
I have traveled High Street between Arden Rd. and 3rd Street twice a day for the last ten years. Every time there is a heavy rain, water accumulates and flows down High Street between E. Mores Pike and 2nd St. forcing me to move to the other lane to avoid going through large amounts of water creating a very unsafe situation. I was delighted to see this section of High Street repaved last summer and noticed the sewers also being worked on. I assumed, incorrectly, that the runoff problem would be corrected during this maintenance project. Since the paving the runoff has actually gotten worse. Are there plans to fix this unsafe situation so cars can travel safely on High Street without endangering drivers and pedestrians? I regularly see in the Herald Times where is city is allocating and spending money on hiking and biking trails, sidewalks and various pedestrian conveniences. Part of the Sheridan Creek drainage ditch has eroded or crumbled with asphalt breaking off and going who knows where. The problem areas that seem to need at least spot repaving are at the front of part of 1340 E Sheridan and the Sheridan part of 1000 S Jordan Ave
The construction at 4th & Rogers(The old Auxiliary Police Building) They have broken through the storm pipe that runs under the back of the building. Thay say all they have to do is fill it with gravel and it will bo ok. This storm drain handles all the street drains in the area. Can they do this? It is part of the drain that flows into the Jordan River.
