I haven't been able to fully assess this, but: cars heading northbound at 17th & Dunn appear not to be triggering the light. (This happened to me a week or two ago, as well - which may also have been the day after an IU football game?) If southbound cars are turning left, northbound ones never get a green (during a particular "round"), but if southbound cars are going straight, then there's a bidirectional green. Or a pedestrian hitting a button for a walk sign will get a green.

Due to a near constant flow of students across the pedestrian walkway, 10th street traffic is often highly backed up, increasing emissions from idling cars and making buses late. Putting in a pedestrian crossing light would create opportunities for cars and pedestrians to take turns and make the area move more efficiently.

I sit on Landmark to turn left onto westbound 3rd Street. The light cycle seems far longer than any other light cycle in Bloomington. I timed it this morning and I sat at the light for 5 minutes 34 seconds. Is that expected and normal? To avoid this, I end up turning right and pulling a u-turn which I know isn't safe, but is the quickest way to get out of that intersection. It was around 7:50am this morning. The traffic on 3rd street never got an arrow even to turn left onto Landmark

The traffic light at South Dr and Walnut keeps turning red for Walnut with no crossing pedestrians or cars.

If you are driving West on 17th, the light is green for exactly 7 seconds, allowing one maybe two cars to pass through. I have sat at this light through so many cycles that I had time to get my stopwatch out and time it.

The light at 10th and Indiana has been functioning differently this summer. Heading east toward campus on 10th St., the stoplight now first offers the left turn arrow with a red ball. Since there is no left turn lane, those of us wanting to turn left cannot make use of the green arrow until cars ahead of us get the green ball and proceed through the intersection. If even two cars at the lead are going straight, the left green arrow disappears before left turners have a chance. With classes resuming and 10th St. traffic returning to its usual intense busy-ness, I'm hoping the light can be fixed to offer a green left arrow AND ball immediately to assist with flow of traffic. Otherwise, left turners will struggle - likely 0-1 will go through per light cycle - and those behind the left turner will be delayed going straight. It would be wonderful if 10th were ever widened there to accommodate a left turn lane, but historically the proper green left arrow/ball simultaneously has worked sufficiently for traffic efficiency. Why isn't the traffic signal at W. Kirkwood and Rogers St set to flashing red while Kirkwood is closed. A 3-way stop would be much better than a light going through it full cycle causing back-ups on Rogers.

It appears the light is now changing to green for southbound vehicles at Bryan/High even if there's no one sitting there. It used to only turn green if someone was waiting or had tripped the sensors. This is causing backup traffic along 3rd Street and delaying northbound High Street traffic from turning.

I'd like to recommend a left turn arrow signal at 3rd and Washingtonbe added. When turning left onto Washington, headed west, there are long waits and backups. Buses, police vehicles, and more vehicles turn there to take Washington St. south and new traffic from the convention center will compound this problem. Hoping you'll consider adding this to the current traffic light.
