Resident of condos west of Southeast Park found "pot smoking device" on the basketball courts. He took the device to the Police Dept who in turn contacted Parks. He reported that becasue the grass is high, people can stay hidden. Said you can't see the footbridge for the growth. Concerned that children could get ahold of this stuff.
9-year-old son, Steven, was treated very badly by coach in Jr. League Baseball Assn. Child was very upset. Mother wants refund mailed to home. (Coach: Chris?)
Mr. Riggins called to say he spotted an oversized white van w/City logo - woman driver (Kid City van) @ 1st and Lincoln driving West on 1st St. It was raining and the roads were slick. Driver rolled through stop sign or skidded, but didn't come close to a full stop.
9th St. Tennis Courts - called to ask about better maintenance of the tennis course. Only one net up and many cracks in the court.
Kathy has two children in tennis lessons. Babysitter transports children to lessons (20 min. drive). On two different occasions she called the hotline and was told the lessons were on. When they arrived, the lessons had been cancelled. Also, children were given "verbal" notice of a makeup practice. Would appreciate a written note.

Twin Lakes - dust from the firleds is choking everyone in the household. Cars are dirty - wants "calcium chloride" put down on fields to keep dust down.
The janitor @ Broadview Elementary School called to say one of the children from the KC Outdoor camp had been left @ in the restroom at the school. The parent called about 20 minutes later to see what was going to be done about the situation.
Re: Kid City Outdoor Camp - Broadview. Andre's son, Derek Goodman, was enrolled in the camp 1st session. He really enjoyed it and wanted to continue, however, the session was full. Mrs. Erwin was very pleased with the staff and the program. She said she & Derek were greeted each day and the staff took time to talk with them.
Suggestion: Crestmont Gardens - too much clay in soil. Wants a couple of dump trucks full of soil or composted wood chips to help aerate the soil.
