Mr. Lord expressed concern about the "man-made" potholes around the city. He realizes that he does not live in the city, but still spends money here and is tired of running into these potholes. Wiring in Cascades South shelter is substandard. The wiring has been torn out by vandals and bare live wires exposed. Feels apparently the city can get around passing inspection -- he also contacted BPD.
Due to near wrecks from cars drifing into other lanes, would like lane markings painted in two areas: 1) The portion of Henderson which crosses Atwater and extends to Third Street, and 2) the left turn lane after the light at Third & Dunn, which feeds into the above section.
Entrance to Bryan Park on Park Avenue is completely overgrown with weeds. Has called several times.
Micky is disappointed with the change in the Banneker Center. She is not against having a teen center, just not on this side out town.
Steve does not understand why contruction projects around campus and the kirkwood area begin exactly when the students return to school. Why don't they start in the summer when there is much less traffic?
Sherwood Oaks Park: The creek on the back of park has been dammed up (by kids, cty or parks? not sure?) and there is trash in it and a bad odor.
Commendation - Kid City Childs. Caller said she is very pleased with program. Counselors are wonderful! Would like to see swim lessons offered next year during camp.
Mefford (who builds swings) is upset that the police were involved in the high speed chase which hurt innocent bystanders. He feels chasing stolen cars at high speed is unnecessary. He will call injured family & offer to help pay legal fees if they sue the City. He hopes the Mayor does not condone these high-speed chases and he would like a call from the Mayor.
Citizen has complaint regarding orange trash bags - they keep breaking. Says she's getting the runaround - called Commissioners, SWD, City and no one knows who's responsible.
