I am the homeowner and have recently built an attached sunroom with sinks at this address. I need to connect the water pipe from those sinks to the city sewer line, and so would like to request a detailed sewer line map of/around my property, if available. Thanks.
I spoke with two Martha Street residents who mentioned that they are seeing many people taking a short cut through the culvert that runs east-west between Matlock Heights and Lower Cascades. They indicated that following some utilities work, they were expecting workers to install a No Trespassing or Private Property sign to deter such foot traffic, but that no such sign has been installed. Could you follow up and see what might be done at this site? Thanks!
My neighbor John East told me that city surveyors were planning a project to renovate this storm drain system that flows from his yard in an open stream - through my yard which was tiled over at some point (I believe the city did this but cannot confirm). This system flows then into Cascades Park. There are a significant number of sunken areas along the path of this conduit in my yard - which has concerned me regarding the integrity of this pathway. I have had MUCH trouble with hydrostatic pressure along my basement foundation, and have not found a cause for this to date. Additionally, when the rain is hard enough, this system will back up into John's yard and the water will breach Skyline Dr. and flood my yard as well. I am looking for information about any plan for a project so that I can respond in time by moving perennials and manage expectations regarding disruption at the house from possible excavation and construction. AT&T lines need to be resupported. They were sagging and a truck snagged them. It broke a power pole that Duke replaced but the AT&T lines are just temporarily tied up. The whole line is a mess from High Street east with broken poles and sagging lines.
A private utility company cut a large hole in my driveway without permission. After removing that portion of my driveway they dug out what appears to be an area 3 feet deep and at least 2-3 feet wide just underneath my driveway. A piece of plywood was placed on top and is not secure. I’m not only afraid that someone will fall I. The hole, but also that an entire portion of my driveway will collapse into the ground. I have attempted to contact the private company (AT&T) and while they have opened a claim, I have yet to hear back from them in regards to this public safety concern and also how they plan to fix my driveway. My home sits on a very busy and trafficked corner in The Highlands. Lots of pets, small children, families walking all day. In addition, I can already see that area has shifted and sunk.
Gas utility dug up driveway and recently the new cement was put in but they left a large (heavy and immovable) clump on the lawn. Also the edge of the driveway is collecting water from the small ditch next to it they dug up. It’s been about a week now - I thought originally they might come back to take care of it.
There is a dangling guy wire at pole #152-572, located at the south end of Madison St. just north of Patterson/Grimes, at west edge of New Hope for Families property.
