Light trespass glare unshielded element
Light trespass glare unshielded element
This is a corner house at the corner of Oxford and Thornton drive. There is a street lamp on the Thornton side that is NOT a Duke street lamp. It does not work at all. I can't report it to Duke because it doesn't have a Duke number and isn't in their system. That intersection of Oxford and Thornton is very dark.
Was the streetlight at W Smith and S Jackson st recently replaced with an LED fixture? It is really excessively bright, there was nothing wrong with the existing streetlight. Please turn down the brightness of the light of at all possible, thank you.
This is NOT a Duke light. It doesn't have a Duke number and is NOT on a Duke pole. The light is actually around the corner on Thornton Drive and does not work. The Thornton/Oxford intersection is very dark
Lights too bright at this marathon. Too many lights visible everywhere and glare.
The new stop light at Fullerton Pike and Rockport Rd has been flashing red for about 24 hours. I don't know if this was addressed during the day on 12/18/25. If not, please fix it ASAP. Thank You
I am a resident assistant in Eigenmann Hall right across the street from this convenience store. In the past there (just two months ago) there weren’t any issues with their lights. However, right before students winter break the convenience store installed these new bright white lights. These light shine into my room, making it hard to sleep at night, in addition, while driving and walking it makes it difficult and distracting to drive and cross streets on the roads when the white lights are shining in your eyes. Similar to white high-beams on an interstate highway shining in your eyes in the dark, that is what these remind me of. These lights make it very difficult to sleep in my room, operate along these roads, and walk as I did before (especially now that it gets darker in the day sooner). I’ve had complaints from residents on lower floors of Eigenmann Hall about these lights as they begin returning to the building.
When traveling northbound through this intersection, the traffic signal consistently takes an unusually long time to cycle. The apparent cause is that the southbound left-turn signal always activates first, even when there are no vehicles waiting to turn left from the southbound direction. This results in unnecessary delay for northbound traffic, as well as eastbound and westbound traffic, adding approximately 10 seconds to each signal cycle and creating congestion and inefficiency. It appears that the southbound left-turn phase may be activating without vehicle demand, possibly due to a malfunctioning or misconfigured sensor. In other nearby intersections, the left-turn phase only activates when a vehicle is detected. I would appreciate it if this signal timing and detection could be reviewed and adjusted so that the southbound left-turn phase only activates when vehicles are present. Thank you for your time and attention to this matter.
gas station at union & tenth has outward facing LED flood lights that are probably 50x more powerful for light polution than code allows.
The light for the left turn lane coming up off of I 69 onto 2nd Street from northbound 69 is not engaging. I sat at the light for 10 minutes as well as several other vehicles to the point where we were going on red lights when the traffic was clear enough for us to go.
