Storm drain doesn't handle rainfall when a lot comes down in a short amount of time. Flooded our garage on May 26 2024. Water travels from the north on Lincoln St and carries debris and dirt in large amounts. thank you

the street storm drain behind the Von Lee building was clogged on Friday night and Saturday morning 6-18 to 6-19-21. This caused water to not flow into the drain and considerable damage to cars and property in the surrounding area. On Saturday morning at around 7:30am I was able to unclog the drain. At the time water was up to just below my knee which is about 20 inches. A car was abandon by the drain and later towed by a local towing company. My property which is 507 east Kirkwood Ave. sustained damage as well as the IU business lobby just east of the drain in the von lee building. This drain should be change to a more clog proof type. This has happened in the past and will in the future

Near the alley way at 401 N Dunn water does not drain properly and builds up with gravel and dirt making it difficult for handicap travel. 8th Street has been paved over so many times that drainage is impaired. There is quite a bit of debris there now and this holds a lot of water during a rain event. Finally the alley has been patched a little but it is in pretty bad shape and needs redone. Probably not much can be done about this, but the new parking lot over the recently redone culvert downtown by People's Park has a low spot right where the diagonal path crosses through it. The low spot has been accumulating water after rains, and it seems the grading as it is prevents the water from going anywhere. Likely over time this will facilitate degradation of the pavement, but more importantly at present it creates a little lake that pedestrians and bicycles must travel through, and will probably produce a slick spot there when the temperature drops. Is there any way to have this area looked at and have it redone so that water drains away? Not clear if this is a City issue or not, given the entire lot is owned by IU.

310 and 308 N. Lincoln has significant water drainage issues when it rains. We used to have a curb on that side of Lincoln, but it was removed. We need to have a small curb created to keep the rainwater from running down the driveway and into the units. The curb should run from just north of 310, all the way to the east side of 301 Lincoln Street.

The alley behind Osteria Rago is inaccessible for pedestrians when it rains. The pavement has potholes that trap water and the drainage doesn’t not divert water off of the road. The potholes need to be filled and the drainage fixed. It was very difficult to get to the restaurant and cars can barely maneuver through as well.

Sewage keeps backing up in our bathtub - smells terrible, toilet doesnt flush when this happens and cant be used. Standing water on the floor/carpet. These issues keep happening and the apartment complex says that they fix it and then it happens again. This time maintenance said it is an airconditioning unit. I can explain more if you can call me. Thank you!

Ms Fulford left a voice message 8/22/16 indicating the neighbor to the north (521 N Dunn St) has a pump for a spring that shoots water out at least every few minutes and it's pointed toward her house and water has no where to go so just ponds.
