This is a dangerous intersection! Is there a way to alter the grading of the street on Allen as you turn onto Bloomfield Rd? It is so steep that it is dangerous turning right or left.Drivers creep out onto Bloomfield FAR to try to make the turn. It's difficult to see and the hill is so steep that it's hard to get traction on the road to pull out. The center lane on Bloomfield is a help, but not enough. Something needs to change on Allen. We live on that corner and another accident happened today from someone making that turn. Is it possible to change the grading of the road? Can Allen be diverted to a little further East so it's not so steep? Can the actual street be raised? Would a traffic light help at that corner? Nobody likes this intersection. We've lived here 12 years and have witnessed several bad wrecks. Please consider doing something before someone is hurt.

I live north of the roundabout at Tapp Rd and Adams St. Almost every time I am entering the roundabout from the north, I am almost hit by a car coming from the west. Vehicles habitually drive very quickly into the roundabout and don't yield to traffic already in the roundabout. I often end up having to stop in the roundabout to avoid a collision, which can also be a traffic hazard. It seems that area would benefit from a speed bump for those entering the roundabout - especially from the west as they are generally travelling the fastest when coming from the highway.

The northbound side of N Kinser Pike at the intersection with SR 45 could desperately use a dedicated right turn lane, as traffic often backs through multiple traffic light cycles. I already reached out to INDOT and they said that they don't have any funded projects on their end. BUT they would be willing to work with the city if we wanted to take the initiative. See below: Case #: CS0513872 Request Description: The northbound side of Kinser Pike could use a right-turn lane where it intersects with SR 45 in Bloomington. Folks frequently use the shoulder here as a makeshift turn lane but it is full of potholes and not well-suited for this purpose. A dedicated turn lane would greatly help improve throughput during busy times when the light is very short. There is ample room to expand, and it appears that the lots already belong to DOT and the Indiana DNR. Resolution: Thank you for contacting the Indiana Department of Transportation. Our Traffic Investigations Engineer has reported a turn lane would require widening with full-depth pavement and utility relocation. INDOT does not have any funded projects to construct a right turn lane at this location. If the City would like to pursue the addition of a turn lane on Kinser Pk, they can work with INDOT Permits. This intersection has a lot of accidents that occur. It could be because the lights aren’t green for long, but they’ll be red for a long time. Maybe the yellow light timing is too short. I know INDOT controls this area, but hopefully a nearby resident’s concerns could help expedite a solution.

There is no sign indicating 'Arden' street at the intersection of High and Arden. It makes it complicated giving directions! Thanks.

In the morning from 7-9 the traffic gets extremely backed up on Kinser Pike coming from the North, the neighborhoods and the school buses from the High School. The left turn signal, to turn on to 45/46, is extremely short, less than 10 seconds I would say, and then it's extremely hard to turn left on green as there are lots of cars coming across the intersection. Is there any way to make this turn signal longer for at least those 2 hours in the morning? Traffic is sometimes backed up all the way to the Skate Park, which is on a curve so that is very dangerous. You round the blind curve and all of a sudden there is stopped traffic. Excessive speed by most motorists from high street to Sheridan drive. No traffic control measures in place , add speed bumps or a stop sign at Eastside or something . Also many deer in area and not one single deer warning sign.
