apartment complex didnt plow. VA disabled and cant get out. in front of 1767
A plow just came down Olde Mill Drive (10:40 am) and was unable to push the snow to either side of the street to clear the snow from the culdesac. Disappointing to say the least, it is now more of a problem to exit our property. Again larger plows are basically worthless in this area the amount of snow in the lower middle section of the cul'de'sac is blocking exit. Yesterday, I spent hours clearing the snow from around our mailbox, and shoveling a path out into the street to allow for exit from our driveway, the recent work by the plow in the street did nothing but compound the problem! Again a smaller blade plow is needed to push the snow in the street to one side of the street or another! I realize this is a significant winter storm event, but the need for better removal of snow from the street is needed. Arnold Wells 2209 S Olde Mill Drive Bloomington, IN 47401

There was a pass over plow at the apartment complex. This has lead to cars being completely blocked in by packs of snow because the snow was not moved to one area. Resident received an email on Monday stating the streets would be plowed again and the sidewalks would be shoveled the next day. And only emergency vehicles were allowed to enter the complex. However, none of these things happened. Despite the staff and facilities living on premise and being at work in their offices. They essentially sent out an email stating everyone is trapped in their apartments and have not done anything since then. I understand this probably more of an apartment complex issue, but they are not listening to complaints from people. If you travel to Basswood to see the dangerous conditions, or call them, I'm sure that would be enough for them to take action.
What appears to be a sump pump discharge pipe at 801 W Howe Street is sending a significant amount of liquid water into the public right-of-way during freezing conditions. Water is being dumped onto the sidewalk on S Maple Street, between W 2nd and W Howe. This is creating a driving hazard and safety issue at the intersection of W Howe and S Maple, as the liquid water is running out into the intersection, pooling, and freezing into a sheet of ice. What doesn't freeze at this intersection is travelling down Howe to the entrance for the Building Trade Park parking lot, where it is also freezing into a sheet of ice.
Sidewalks are unusable due to lack of snow removal. I was forced to detour into the street rather than navigate the snow.
