A water pipe break was repaired and patched earlier this year. There is a small hole cracking and sinking the pavement adjacent to the patch. There are concerns this hole could become larger as winter approaches.

8" water valve cover popped off at Hillside & Dorchester. Eastbound lane of Hillside. Cover at base of stopsign/streetsign SE corner of intersection. This is the 3rd time I've reported this in just over a week (1st 2x's by phone). Why don't you replace with a cover that can be LOCKED DOWN to keep it in place?
Greetings, I spoke briefly with a street maintenance crew as they were working in front of my home - and thought I'd share the conversation here. Over the past few years, the gutter from in front of our home (1504 E Elliston) on down to Fenway Pl has deteriorated significantly to the point that our driveway & yard are sinking as well. I'm no longer able to get my cars out of my driveway without scraping the bottom. When we get major rainstorms, I've noticed that the water runs directly into the ground from the gaps in the gutters & road, which I'd imagine contributes to the gutters & road sinking. I appreciate that they were out there patching the holes, but the patching really is very temporary from my observation. I was wondering if the city would have any plans to shore up the foundation, perhaps rebuild the gutters in a way that my driveway/yard won't continue to sink. Large pothole always filled with water on Hunter Ave between Jordan and Swain. This block needs to be repaved because of numerous repairs and downhill water erosion
Someone needs to fix this before the street collapses. The utilities company says there’s a stream under ground that is bubbling to the surface. Additional background: there was a water main break about 6-10 feet from this location about 6 months ago and there was no indication there was a river running underground.
Is Pickwick still scheduled for repaving? I reported in April that rushing water has created an erosion of Pickwick at the front of my driveway, that is now about a 3-4 inch shelf that people have to drive over. I saw that someone came to Pickwick and did some patching, but only on the other side of the street, and did nothing with our problem. I do want to get my driveway re-paved, but want to see Pickwick repaired before I have that done. thanks for any help you can provide. Jim
Just north of 926 S. Highland Ave., a 15 ft area of the west side of the street (and storm drain) has crumbled to gravel-size and larger chunks of asphalt. As result of an earlier complaint, a small part was patched with blacktop that has now crumbled. My concern is not the ugly appearance. If we have a 5-10 year rain storm, the runoff down S. Highland easily will clog the storm drain underneath a parking area (owned by the city) in front for my home and likely will flood the first level of my home. I have observed the enormous flow of water in the storm drain during normal heavy rain and am certain an unusual downpour will now cause flooding. Please consider sending a truck to remove the street/storm drain debris.
Huge dip in Madison street causes water to pool in my yard and in front of our house. There needs to be a drain, or water will continue to pool in my yard and flood my driveway. This issue has continued to get worse.
