Purpose

In order to encourage more civic involvement through a basic understanding of City services, the HAND Department developed Citizens' Academy: a nine-week program that provides thirty participants with an interactive learning experience about City services, programs, and responsibilities.

2018 Classes will be held every Thursday, August 30 through October 25 - 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m.

To be a participant of the class, interested citizens must apply; however, the 2018 application process has closed.

Applying to Citizens' Academy

Applications for the 2018 class have closed.  While the class of 2018 is full, please consider applying for the class of 2019.  Registration for the 2019 class will begin in June.
