Ever since the 4-way Stop signs were added to the intersection of Kirkwood and Madison, it has become more dangerous for pedestrians to cross Kirkwood. I live at the corner of this intersection and cross several times a day on foot, taking my school to school, shopping, etc. Individual cars may stop but never both cars going in each direction on Kirkwood. We find ourselves in the middle of the intersection constantly with a car stopped going east but another zipping through going west. I understand why the extra Stop signs were added: there were car accidents on occasion. Now thanks to this well-intended addition we can't cross safely as pedestrians because people only think about where THEY'RE going, not that both east and west moving vehicle have to stop at the SAME time to allow pedestrians to cross. So either revert back to having only stop signs going North and South on Madison or add a traffic light. This intersection has become infinitely more dangerous for residents and children who don't always look BOTH ways before crossing the street. This is URGENT especially now that school has started.

Eastbound automobile traffic on allen st approaching patterson faces a "no turn on red" sign. However, the right turn curb radius there is more than 30 ft, meaning drivers will not only ignore that sign, they will do so at 20mph on a regular basis! Extremely dangerous and frightening for pedestrians in the area. Practically a guaranteed collision for anyone who bikes on the sidewalk there - is that your plan?

Traffic jams on 2nd and 3rd streets. Synchronizing the lights would greatly reduce backed up traffic. A lot of times during rush hours traffic is halted because the lights all seemingly change at different times

The intersection at north 10th, Smith road, and Russell road is one of the most dangerous in Bloomington. I believe there needs to be a traffic light there to allow people to turn from Smith Road. It's almost impossible for drivers coming off Smith Road to turn either right or left onto 10th or Russell, especially during rush hour traffic. Visibility is poor because 10th street curves in unusual ways at that intersection, and none of the two-way traffic wants to yield. Bus traffic from 10th Street compounds the problem. Can you look at installing a dead end sign at the intersection of S. Hathaway Ct. and E. Cathcart Drive? Cars keep driving thru the neighborhood in an attempt to get to the parking lot at Southest Park and many turn around in the driveways of the houses on Hathaway.

This intersection has become more and more dangerous in the last few years. I work at Curry Buick in the sales department and I have seen many near misses. Any vehicle traveling east on Buick-Cadillac Blvd and approaching the intersection at Auto Mall Road is somewhat hidden due to the fact that the road is curved behind the cars parked in the vicinity. I would suggest either painted curbs to open up the sight lines or even a 3 way stop. I hate that we have to keep stopping the traffic in order to control, but this area has become more and more a concern.

Hello. I am the property manager for Tamarron HOA. There is a cross walk to Univeristy Elementary School from Tamarron. We are having issues with speeding vehicles and children crossing the street. At the HOA board meeting tonight it was suggested putting a three way stop sign at the intersection of Callery Drive and Tamarron Drive to at least slow the traffic down. Who do we contact about this? One Board member brought up if there is a stop sign on the north end of Callery Drive and Tamarron Drive, it will re-route cars down the south side of Tamarron so maybe installing two stop signs at each end of Callery Drive and Tamarron Drive. In the alley adjacent to Bloomington Center for Global Children at 1111 North Walnut Street, traffic often travels both ways. As a parent who picks up a young child there, I am keenly aware of the danger presented by a two way alley adjacent to a child care center. I am requesting that this alley be made one way with traffic control as well, as the traffic traveling north on Walnut street presents another danger to those individuals turning west into the alley next to the center.

The intersection at Park Ave and Hunter Ave is a 2-way stop. There are multiple accidents there every year because: 1. The cars parked along the side of the road block views for those crossing Hunter 2. There is a large bush on the southwest corner that completely blocks the view west. Making this a 4-way stop would be much safer and easier to navigate.

There are no speed limit signs on the part of Jordan ave that goes through campus (i contacted IUPD about this and they told me because it was a city street to contact the city). IUPD also told me the speed limit on that part of Jordan is currently 30mph; with the new work done last year, there are now five pedestrian crosswalks not at intersections on this section of the road, so that speed is probably too high, particularly with the hill and curve in the road near the Musical Arts Center.
