Behind my home in Winslow Woods is a culvert that the city never maintains. It is now flooding with water and the water is creeping up towards all our homes on Azalea Lane.

Due to the rain yesterday, my basement has flooded and many others in Winslow Farms have as well. There is not enough drainage in place to handle the water that comes to my immediate area with a heavy rain. I have a storm drain in the backyard between my home and the neighbors. This drain is not sufficient to deal with the water for this whole area. Many times during the year in heavy rains, this drain gets overwhelmed and we get a large pool in backyard. Unfortunately, this time, the water rose to a point where it entered into my basement and I am now dealing with many thousands in damage. It seems that someone from the city needs to come analyze the drainage situation in this area of Winslow farms and some additional drainage systems or drains need to be added. Please let me know what other info is needed to assist in the process. Best, Amy Kopp

the street storm drain behind the Von Lee building was clogged on Friday night and Saturday morning 6-18 to 6-19-21. This caused water to not flow into the drain and considerable damage to cars and property in the surrounding area. On Saturday morning at around 7:30am I was able to unclog the drain. At the time water was up to just below my knee which is about 20 inches. A car was abandon by the drain and later towed by a local towing company. My property which is 507 east Kirkwood Ave. sustained damage as well as the IU business lobby just east of the drain in the von lee building. This drain should be change to a more clog proof type. This has happened in the past and will in the future

The storm drain has collected a lot of leaves. I try to blow the leaves back into the yard, but on windy days and rainy days they have been washed down the drain. So far water has not collected there or been restricted from draining, but it is getting pretty full. Just thought you should know. It is on the northeast corner.

Due to the storm on Friday night we have a lot of run off rock and old concrete from the ditches above our house on Ruby and Covenanter. Since we are the last house where the ditches turn, we get all of the debris. Can someone from the city please come and clean up our ditch (with the truck that sucks up rocks, etc.)along Ruby and Covenanter? Our front lawn grass is full of rock and mud from the flow of water on Friday night. Storm pipe pushing out alot of water causing it to cave in the ground and sides of the channel. It has been causing the sides to collapse and making the channel wider taking from the land. I placed some rocks to keep the storm water from damaging the channel last year. yet We will need to add some extra rocks to hold it in place since it can't withstand the pressure as shown in the attached image.
