Current Plans and Studies
College and Walnut Corridor Study
The Corridor Study is an opportunity to examine College Avenue and Walnut Street from the State Road 45/46 Bypass to Allen Street. The study will look at what’s working well, where challenges exist, and where improvements can be made.
Gateway North Focus Area Plan
The focus area study is a long range plan of the Gateway North, which spans from SR45/46 Bypass to approximately 14th Street. The plan will work with the community to establish a long-term vision, goals, and strategies for the area.

Transportation Plan
Safe Streets and Roads for All Safety Action Plan
People should be able to get around Bloomington safely, whether they are on foot, using a mobility device, riding a bike, on a bus, or driving a car. Our Safe Streets and Roads for All (SS4A) planning efforts will help to make that happen.
Transportation Demand Management (TDM) Plan
TDM consists of programs, education, pricing, and other strategies to shift behavior using existing infrastructure.
Parking Study and Ordinance Changes
The City of Bloomington conducts parking studies as part of the on-going evaluation and management of the parking system. These studies generally are focused within and around the Downtown area (see attachments below).
