This branch just fell out of a tree onto the sidewalk like 3 seconds after my kid walked under it. I would like for people to maintain their trees and for my child to remain alive.

After battling with code my apartment building it 25 ft away with the smoking but they only moved it 25 ft away but it's still entering the 50 some windows in the back where they placed it and going in the ventilation system and I've tried contacting the Bloomington Housing Authority about it. I don't know what to do any recommendations I was told that the PHA can help enforce stricter things or even make a designated smoking area that's further than 25 ft away when I reached out to Bloomington Housing Authority I'm not too sure if I spoke with PHA they weren't very helpful I thought about contacting the health department because they can come out and see which way the wind blows and where it's drifting inside but when I looked it up I really didn't see anything to tell them about smoke issues. I recently advocated for my apartment building smoking to be25 ft away they moved it but it's now in the back of the building where there are 50 unit windows and ventilation system and out of contact HUD and I've contacted the PHA and I don't know what to do when it's 25 feet away but that is drifting to the windows and I know that there are people that could establish stricture policies. Help

I would like to request that someone visit the site to inspect the designated smoking area and the cigarette disposal containers. Because the apartment complex has established a permanent smoking area immediately outside this non-smoking building, violations are constant and can be observed at any time. The police have responded to this location multiple times due to fires caused by smoking. They informed me that this is a government or HAND (Housing and Neighborhood Development) issue; however, each time I report it, I am referred to a different department. Is it possible for a representative to see this firsthand without me calling the non-emergency line? Additionally, would the Health Department be able to assist, or is there another official who can verify the proximity of this smoking circle to the building? I have numerous photos available to provide as proof if needed. I look forward to your guidance on who can specifically address this ongoing safety concern. Best regards, Jessica Hanna
There was a small fire 2 days ago started in the grass area of property of Governor Park Apartments and the trailer Court area. Its a smoking area where people go out to smoke. I live near there but not at the apartments. I see people who sit in chairs and use a green tin to put there smoke out and the butts are never put out. There was a guy passed out drunk at the can then later it started fire. The can was smoldering. It does almost every night and it's right in the parking lot of the apartments so I don't know how this is legal because it's near a apartment complex. Fire department comes when called but the fires DONT STOP. The can is not a proper cigarette extinguisher and it's has been an ongoing problem that I'm afraid it's going to start field on fire that goes into my property.
I am requesting more enforcement of the no-smoking rules at the Bloomington Transit Center? Every time I am at the transit center, at least one person is smoking at the bus terminal waiting area outside, next to the no smoking signs. I would be able to use the fixed route buses more, instead of BT Access, if there wasn't smoking at the Transit Center terminal.

Requesting autistic child area signs. We live at the corner of Sheffield and Park Ridge, the stop sign is frequently ran. My son is 11 and has autism. He is non verbal and a high risk for elopement. My hope is these signs would slow drivers down and encourage them to stop should my son ever elope.
TO: City of Bloomington City Council, Bloomington Engineering Department, Bloomington Planning Department RE: Placement of No Parking signs in the Matlock Heights Neighborhood COMPLAINT: The City of Bloomington has imposed an unneeded restriction. This restriction imposes a 24/7/365 ban on parking in my neighborhood and on the street in front of my house. The only days there is any parking problem at all is during football games with the top attendance. This complete ban to cover a handful of gamedays is extreme. In my personal case, no parking means that I have to park across the street and down aways, because across the street from me is an intersection. No parking there. And a fire hydrant. A driveway. No parking there. This means I have to cross the street with every load of groceries or anything I am bringing into my house, making it way more inconvenient and way more dangerous. I have been told that the fire department enforced this plan because when cars are parked on both sides of the street, emergency vehicles can’t get through. I want to point out that the residents in the neighborhood rarely park on the street. Everyone has at least a driveway, if not some kind of covered parking. The problem of cars parking on both sides of the street does not exist, except on those few game days.
