I am happy to hear that the neighborhood is interested in organizing traffic calming. In January, we will be opening a request for projects to the Resident-Traffic Calming process which will go into effect when the updated Traffic Calming Policy is approved by City Council. While I appreciate the place-making tactics for slowing speeds, research tells us that speed cushions are the most effective for the cost. Unfortunately, we cannot install speed cushions until the traffic calming policy is updated, and I would advise not to add any place-making installations without the speed cushions in place at this time. I will reach out to the Morningside Drive neighborhood when the RFP is open for applications. Thank you
